First off let's have it be clear that this isn't like how the first 2 Outlast games were as a single player experience, but rather this game expands to make it more of a multiplayer experience. The horror aspects of the Outlast name still shine profoundly in this game. Getting jumped on by a enemy in a locker or bin. Stepping on a glass and suddenly having to run for your life.
The adrenaline you get while playing this game is astonishing. It never fails to always be an enjoyable experience hopping on with the boys to play a few trials. Overall, if you want a multiplayer experience that has both horror filled moments and fun fast paced gameplay, this is the game.

This is one of the best horror games I've ever played.
I am a huge fan of Outlast, especially the first game and Whistleblower. This game is a large departure from the formula the first two games follow and thank god it does; It opens up a lot of creativity through the use of items and gear you can equip and the objectives you need to complete are extremely unique from one another and fun to do. There are some frustrations I have but most of them are simply skill issues as I played through the first set of missions completely solo. However I would like to thank Red Barrels for valuing solo play and balancing it out by giving some items to help solo players out in the form of Respawn Pills.
Each enemy is very unique and behaves in different ways - some are blind, some can only see in the dark, some jump you when you go near their hiding places, some rush to you and reduce your sanity...the list really goes on. You get rewarded for knowing how each enemy works because it will help you complete trials easier.
Oh yeah you can also customise your character and dorm and you unlock customisation options through playing the game. A cute addition.
If this game continues with regular content updates through the next few years and even beyond I will be very happy. The game has a roadmap through 2024 and I will be checking stuff out as it comes whilst also playing it on the side.
I fully recommend this game even if you are a solo player like me. Good luck!

It's not the scariest game I've ever played but it's fun with friends. I say the only problems I have with the game are the mission tasks are always repetitive no matter what level you do (it always feels like there's always more for no reason) and that it's not scary to an extent. But it's still a solid and fun game.
