released on Mar 12, 1996

In this third and final entry in the Art of Fighting series, the story shifts from Ryo Sakazaki to his best friend and rival, Robert Garcia, as he ventures into Mexico to try and locate Freia Lawrence, a childhood friend, who asked for his help. However, he leaves without the consent of The Garcia Foundation, which sends an agent named Karman Cole to get him back. But not everything is as simple as it looks... because Robert is not the only one looking for Freia. Art of Fighting 3: The Path of The Warrior features ten playable characters with different fighting styles, a completely new fighting system based on joystick and button combinations, and incredibly detailed graphics and animation.

When people say this feels like a 2D Tekken, they aren't lying. AoF 3 takes a really interesting turn with how the game plays, focusing on 3D fighter-styled strings and feel which compliments the rotoscoped sprites quite well. Definantly worth a try just to experience how it plays.

this game has the flair I expect from a SNK game. very enjoyable experience from a casual standpoint.

Although better than AoF 2, it seems like a pointless game that presents little interesting things to justify its existence

What an incredible difference it makes when you can control your characters easily in a fighting game. Now I can talk about something else in this review, like how hot Ryo and Robert are. I want them both to show me the power and supremacy of their kyokugenryu karate, but sexually. I want them to desperation-move demolish my whole entire back walls. I want to break up the wedding between Ryo's sister and Robert, I want people walking in on us in our luxury suite in the Italian riviera just mercilessly three way fucking, I want my name entered into the Sakazaki annals as the one who brought the stain and shame of rampant homosexual decadence to the entire family name. In other words, I think the protagonists of the Art of Fighting franchise are rather attractive, three and a half stars on www.backloggd.com.

There's a cheat where you can play as any character on their birthday and they get the ability to cheat.

MASTERFUL DESIGN, SIR
