Cuckoo Castle is a mini-metroidvania made for the 4th edition of the#gbjam . In Cuckoo Castle you take control of a lonely knight seeking to defeat the evil force that resides in the Cuckoo Castle, an enormous castle that appeared out of nowhere. Rescue new heroes and battle your way to the highest tower of the Castle.

Fun little game, if in need of some more work at points. Certainly an interesting experiment.

I did not really have a good time with this. The balance isn't great and the jump felt too floaty. It just wasn't that fun.

The controls fucked me up sooo bad. Why the hell is jump D and not the up arrow? Enemies had too much health so combat was just spamming the attack button, which was weird, because you slide forward when you attack, so you'd think it was meant to stop you from spamming so you don't run into the enemies, but there's always so many on screen that if you aren't spamming you'll just get swarmed with attacks and take damage that way. Also, the text scroll sound did not need to be that harsh on the ears.

I think the sprites are cute though. I wish it was better so I actually felt like beating it.

Um mini metroidvania com gráficos semelhantes ao Game Boy. Não tem lá uma jogabilidade primorosa, mas é um bom jogo pra gastar 1 horinha.
