This is a story of survival in a strange new world. Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Digimon Anime, Digimon Survive presents a brand-new adventure set in a mysterious world with characters designed by Uichi Ukumo, and music by the much-acclaimed Tomoki Miyoshi. Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, get lost on a school camping trip, finding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger. As they fight their way back home through an animated world of difficult decisions and deadly battles, players’ choices throughout the game will impact the evolution of their monster allies, and the final ending. Battles in the game are fought in 2D, in a more classic SRPG style.

I enjoyed it as a slightly more mature Digimon story. The gameplay is simple but not un-fun or tedious. However, its 90% graphic novel style didn't make me want to replay it anytime soon to get the other narrative routes, which feels like I missed out on the complete story.

That said, the visuals of both the visual novel sections and the combat sections are some of my favorite ever for a Digimon game.

Beautiful game, although I have problems with the way the routes/decisions were handled. Still, was worth the wait.

This game is infuriating. It could be so much more. Combat is pathetically easy, but too simple so even if you crank the HP it'll still be unfun. Terribly limited in the creature collector aspect of digimon. Supposed to be an edgy, serious story, but with absurd lapses in judgement and silly shonen moments that just leave it contrived. I was really frustrated by how little this game lived up to my hopes
