eXceed 3rd reboots the eXceed storyline, taking it in a new direction. In this installment, Rayne Lindwurm, a descendent of the Dragon Clan, fights her way through a tournament to become one of the 7 Cardinal Lords who rule her world, Pandemonium. This game manages to be good in everything, great gameplay, great boss patterns, great ost, and very unique sprites. It's worth checking out; Even though it's Bullet Hell, the bosses have some attacks that are 'easy' to dodge, you don't need to be a good player to have fun playing this game.

Bem divertido até diria que é um bom jogo. A mecânica de grazing é um dos melhores pontos desse bullet hell principalmente nas bossfights que tem padrões pensados para o proveito da mecânica e é claro a OST vai duro.

When I was in high school there was literally nothing in the world funnier than the title of this game.

The third and final game in the eXceed trilogy. As always, the gameplay is tight, every character is an immensely powerful anime girl and the OST is really nice. It's also kind of a soft reboot in terms of story and gameplay, the polarity mechanic from the last game is gone, but the grazing mechanic from the first game is back. The player can also collect power ups that summon familiars for extra damage.
Just as the second game in the saga, Black Package is a remake so it doesn't have nearly as many technical problems as the first game. However, it's a bit barren when it comes to the settings menu.
Overall, I think eXceed 3rd - Jade Penetrate Black Package (what a name) is really good and so is the rest of the series. If you are gonna get it then consider buying the collection with all the games in it because it goes on sale often.

I don't wanna be Ikaruga anymore! I wanna be Touhou now!

And to its credit, it's like it heard every complaint I had about the previous games and polishes them all right up. It's a little on the easy side and nothing special, but it's a vast improvement over the second game. Heck, I even got the 1CC this time! A 4 button shmup and none of them being shift threw me off, but I managed to adjust.

All in all this trilogy was an adventure of not knowing what to expect next, but I'm glad that it ended as it did.
