Fighting Force 64

released on May 30, 1999

A port of Fighting Force

Fighting Force players control one of four characters. They move through urban and science fiction environments, battling waves of oncoming enemies with weapons ranging from fists and bottles to knives, chairs and guns. The player can make some choices as to which territory to travel through. The four characters have various reasons for taking on Dr. Zeng, a criminal mastermind with an army at his command. The action starts with a police cordon around Zeng's office skyscraper, moving to such locales as a shopping mall, subway and Coast Guard base before finally ending at the top of Zeng's island headquarters.

Apesar da lentidão do personagem, achei bem legalzinho o jogo.

I really enjoyed playing co-op back in the day on this game. I did play it on emulator again, still enjoyable and had some cool concepts for a beat em up. Great soundtrack.

feels like it runs in slow motion

At one point, this was slated to be a 3D entry in the Streets of Rage series. That didn't happen, and that's for the best. This is one of many attempts to translate the fun and glory of brainless brawlers to a 3D environment, and it mostly fails. Not a terrible game, especially with a friend to back you up, but far from a good one.

Decent 3D beat em up with fun environments but slightly clunky controls and typically harsh, punishing lives system.
