WHY IS THIS GAME SO GOATED?????
It's funny and fun as hell. Golf has never been so fun.

Really great integration of golfing into a whimsical RPG

I am not one for sport games, but seeing it was a Switch exclusive and an RPG, it got me intrigued and bought it. Boy, I am glad I did. It was one of the most charming games I have ever played.
The story is fairly basic but the characters were quirky to keep the plot interesting. The controls are super tight which is important in this type of game. I wasn't fond of the disc golf, as I found the control and momentum kinda odd.
The courses were diverse and difficulty was steadily increased. The over-world ending was a very nice surprise in the end and made me smile.
The game took around 24 hours to finish (with extras). Comes highly recommended as something different to RPG players

While the golfing mechanics were solid, the charm of this game is the writing. There are very, very few games that caused me to legit lol and this is one of them. It's enormously challenging to develop comedy in video games and Sidebar landed it with complete confidence. I especially adored their clever use of typeface and speech bubble animation to accentuate hilarity in the dialogue.

It's not Mario Golf Advanced, but it's still a strong Golf RPG

Man...I'm some would refer to as "sports-retarded". I'm one of those insufferable pricks that calls football "sports ball", but by god this hooked me more than it should've.

Just to be clear; sports games are not my thing at all, and I haven't touched a Mario golf/tennis/soccer/whatever, so the RPG aspect of this game kind of took me by surprise. The story is engaging, pretty funny, and the golfing is satisfying. It's opened my eyes to trying more sports orientated games.
