It's an entertaining and simple game, but sometimes it gets hard to tell what type of event it is when it's time to report.

I cannot play this alone because my photographic memory isn't the best, but playing it with my friend makes things easier and way more fun!

I enjoyed this one a lot more than exit 8 because it felt a lot more committed to being actually scary. Some of the anomalies are way too subtle though and some of the ones that try to be scary end up just feeling weird and goofy like a lot of the changing paintings etc. !!!HUGE MAN!!! needs his own spin off game though I think everyone wants that.

I think the concept of this game is honestly a lot more interesting then the actual game itself unfortunately. I love the idea of flipping through cameras trying to find any paranormal anomaly popping up through this house, the problem or at least to me is that there are too many types of anomalies in this game and most of them range from a simple chair moving or a tiny pixel you never noticed slowly turning into a black hole; so a lot of the time I didn't even know some rooms had anomalies until the house had too many forcing me to retry. It causes most games to be scary for a little bit with the one or two genuine fright and the rest being small inconsequential things you're not going to notice until you eventually die.

I think the game would’ve benefited with trimming maybe a quarter of the anomaly types and having better visual indication that something is in the house or something in a room moved.

I'm on Observation Duty 1 is a great first entry into a series that blew up from a genre with a lot of untapped potential, and has seen countless fanworks spawn from it. While the original game is very basic compared to newer releases, it's importance alone gets it this high.

Pretty fun with a friend you can chat with while waiting for things to happen. Hate to admit it gave me several frights in the silliest ways
