One of the funniest games ever created. I hate anyone who disagrees.

Jogo curto porém engraçado pacas com um humor completamente nonsense

This review contains spoilers

For personal reference more than anything else. Still have done spoiler warning just in case though.

Second time doing a full playthrough this game, after the first quite a few years ago, might be my first time finishing this version though.

I remember being really into this game when I was younger, watching the YouTube videos on it and then eventually playing through it myself on PC and having a great time. I was always looking forward to going back to it but I'm not entirely sure this was the best idea in hindsight as it slightly ruined my image of it.

It's essentially a comedy game that I didn't really enjoy the humour of, there were a couple of moments that were kind of funny and even one or two moments that actually got a laugh out of me but this was it. The humour is very wacky and doesn't really make sense most of the time, going for that 'lol so random' type humour and while I may have been more into that a few years ago it just doesn't really do it for me anymore. There are normal jokes as well which were decent at times, but even then the majority just didn't hit for me. Considering that this is one of the main things the game is going for as the plot is only just about there and feels like more of an excuse to go to the different areas in the game and do weird shit, its a bit of a problem for me as I couldn't find anything to get invested in which consequently resulted in me not really giving a shit about this game.

The other main part of the game seems to be exploring the environments and interacting with things as there's a lot to do, parodies of other games like Space Invaders and Frogger, combat sections like the bit against the car or in the wrestling match and various busy work like degaussing pigeons or collecting spiders. This was fine for the first big area but by the time I got to the second big area I was uninterested and wasn't even bothering to interact with everything I didn't need to (more on that in the next paragraph) as it just felt like extra work to get to a joke I wouldn't even enjoy. The interactions feel quite bad gameplay wise which I get makes sense as this game is more of a walking simulator than anything but these sections are either mandatory or give the player more to do as the game is already short and I can only imagine how short it would be if I only played the mandatory stuff (not a knock against the game's length here, I actually think the length is good).

The positives outside of the few funny moments, are that I kind of liked the music although not too much, the settings look nice and have a good variety in terms of general location and time of day. I also tried to go for trophies as I felt that it would give me more of a reason to explore things and outside of the couple that I had to look up and then go back for after finishing the game I managed to get them all on the playthrough making this quite an easy game to platinum. I'm not normally someone who bothers about getting trophies but I think the ones for this game complement it well and encourage the player to try out things that they might have missed.

Overall this was alright, its kind of a shame that I don't like it as much as I did beforehand, but it happens and I'm happy that I've come back to it even if its just to recognise that this isn't really for me anymore so that I won't come back again.

A rare parody of the cyberpunk genre
and a good ass parody at that!
there wasn't a second I wasn't laughing my ass off at this lovely walking sim

what a fucking fever dream of a game

can't say there's anything out there that's quite like this game...

it oozes style and makes my head hurt if I think about it for too long, great game
