A standalone expansion of Resident Evil Village
Maiden is a survival horror game released exclusively on the PlayStation 5 that acts as a demo for Resident Evil Village. Set in the same location as Village but at a different time compared to the main game, Maiden is designed as a visual demo to show Castle Dimistrescu as a location and to preview the game's atmosphere and tone.

Graphics and atmosphere are really great. If this is anywhere nearly as good as Resi7, we’re in for a treat!
the scariest of the 3 demos. short and sweet
Well, a friend of mine had me over to try out this new RESI VIII demo, and I quite liked it! I love this new direction for Resident Evil starting with 7, and it seems to continue with strength, here.
Maiden is more of a sightseeing tour than an actual game experience, with very minimal puzzles and so forth, but as a technical demo for the power of the updated RE Engine, it's quite striking. Ray tracing looks fantastic, the silky framerate is amazing, and playing this on a large, 4K display is awesome.
I'm really excited to see the kind of experiences this oncoming console generation can provide.

A great teaser for the visual feast that should be Resident Evil: Village: the graphics, lighting, sound and pacing all perfect. I did find it to be incredibly short even at my nervous pace, definitely shorter and seemingly less substantial than the Beginning Hour teaser of RE7.
