pretty fun, really liked the base building

This was such a shame. I was really looking forward to this game. All the outlets I follow were looking forward to this game. It was really fun for the first 5 runs.
Then it dawns on you why video games are not made by gamers and actual professionals instead.
The building part is quite boring and like a chore. The runs can vary wildly in quality as any player made content tends to be. Most of the runs are just random trial and error bases at higher difficulty or simple run to the end and back with good grappling hook use.The lore is ultra generic too.
It just does not work like everyone expected it to, and as such, it is genuinely difficult to recommend.

Fun while it lasted but boy did it get old.

Ultimately I just didn't enjoy the premise for as long as I thought I might. It's a neat idea, feels like a fun co-op title - but gets a bit repetitive a bit too quickly

Having said all that, if someone twisted my arm it's a game I'd be tempted to try again

I’m a solo player. I want a linear narrative. I don’t want to play with other people. I definitely don’t want to build anything. Meet Your Maker is the exception. Raiding other player-made bases is fun. Building bases for other players to raid is fun. Heck, it’s even more fun co-op. I never expected an online-only game to hook me this hard.

Having a blast and falling asleep thinking about new base builds.

i pre-ordered this game... what a fool I was. I played the beta with friends and we all LOVED IT. It's a fun core gameplay loop but there's a lot of issues with the game, more importantly how the company handled it.

Arc shield OP and braindead. Killboxes are unfun and braindead. A lot of the variety you can use as a raider and builder is locked behind a very pricey paywall for a game you already have to pay $30 for. On top of that, the new stuff doesn't really add much to the loop, the fundamental issue is the same issue Dead By Daylight has: the core gameplay concept (Gens/Path) limits what the game is capable of. Thankfully Behavior is experimenting with levels without a path so I liike to think the game will improve over time, we'll see.
