I actually played this game all the way through (well, I played about half of it and my brother played the other half while I was watching) and while it's never good, it's also never boring. Every level is different, like often becoming a completely different type of game, so the desire to see all the nonsense the game contained drove us to play to the very end.

However, as mentioned previously, none of the levels are good. Even the conceptually interesting ones control horribly and have that older-video-game problem of sudden and infuriating difficulty spikes.

In summary: Malcolm would like to get off Mr. Bones' Wild Ride.

i'm here to shill the soundtrack, if you're looking at reviews for mr bones you're probably aware on how zooted the actual game is.

A difficult and often inconsistent, but highly-original platformer adventure game with a well-deserved cult following.

The quality of levels varies hard in this game

Game of all time material right here. This game definitely isn't good, but it's also an experience that will stick with you till the day you yourself become mr bones. The levels are strange and usually play entirely differently from one another. The cutscenes are just bizarre. Playing Mr. Bones is truly a wild ride.

While it has charm and some interesting concepts behind its levels, the luster wears off quickly due to poor design and frustrating controls. Best way to play this game would be to try each level a few times, see what it's going for, and then use stage select to move on to the next ridiculous cutscene.
