I've completed almost all of the Nancy Drew series games from Her Interactive, so when I found out about games for Nintendo DS, I immediately decided to try them out. The best part of «The Hidden Staircase» is the realistic sounds and visual art, which are quite similar to the main series from Her Interactive. Unfortunately, the gameplay is too simple: you have to interview people, find random items from lists, and return them to characters. The objects change with each try – there are almost 100 items, so each time you'll have a different game experience. If you'd like to feel like a detective, I recommend trying «Hotel Dusk: Room 215». In this game, you're more likely to feel like you're in the detective's shoes. If you are a true Nancy Drew fan, you should also try to play «The Hidden Staircase», at least because there you can see Nancy's face :)
