Neon Chrome

released on Apr 28, 2016

Neon Chrome is a ruthless top-down cyberpunk shooter with rogue-like elements. The game takes place inside an arcology – a massive sci-fi mega structure. Every gaming session is different as large parts are randomly generated. Blast your way through walls with guns and cybernetic abilities and try alternate approaches with different roles like the Hacker or the Cyber Psycho. Upgrade your character stats, discover new cybernetic enhancements and build up strength to finally stop the Overseer. Every death is a new beginning – the path to stopping the Overseer is never the same.

Initially it didn’t feel much different from some existing games I played until I started to realize how much freedom the levels allowed. After discovering new power ups and developing new strategies I became addicted to dethroning the Overseer. If you’ve been initially turned off of the genre because of the permadeath nature and potentially low replayability than Neon Chrome is a great title to get your toes wet

Okay game but there are ton of games out there that do better job of being twin stick shooters or roguelites(or both at the same time).

All around almost solid, just a bit too repetitive for my taste, don't know if i'll go back and finish it. If it had a more appealing art syle and more unique environments i feel like theres a solid foundation there

the funniest thing about this game is when i looked at the developer's other titles they are all the same game but with model swaps
