Puzzle & Action: Tant-R

released on Dec 31, 1992

Puzzle & Action: Tant-R is a Sega System C puzzle game developed and published by Sega. It is the first in Puzzle & Action series, and has subsequently been ported to the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear. Though the arcade version of Tant-R reached South Korea, the Mega Drive version remained exclusive to Japan and no versions of the game have ever made it to North America or Europe. Tant-R borrows its graphical style from Bonanza Bros., and is therefore often seen as a spin-off. The two were paired with the game's sequel, Puzzle & Action: Ichidant-R in volume 6 of the Sega Ages 2500 series for the PlayStation 2. Tant-R was also paired with Quiz Shukudai wo Wasuremashita for a compilation on the Sega Saturn. A spinoff Saturn game – Sega Ages Vol.1 Shukudai ga Tant-R – was also made.

This is a fun little game but the more I got into it the more I wanted it to end. It's not bad by any means but it is repetitive which sucks because there are some fun games in here. The games also varied wildly in difficulty though that could just be me being stupid.

I also feel like the rotation of games could be better as some of them I only got to play once and there were some I wish I would never see again. You can also play this with a friend though I'm not sure how much better the game becomes if you choose to do that. It's one of Sega's weaker games for me but I can see why Japan likes it.
