Another entry in the "we learned nothing from Blood 2" saga, Requiem is completely ruined by its damage sponge hitscan enemies that riddle you with bullets the second you enter their field of view, and it's a shame because the game can stake claim to having pioneered slow motion bullet time a good couple years before Max Payne and even beating The Matrix to the punch, and while very derivative of 1997's Jedi Knight, the available arsenal of angelic powers is quite varied, though many of them never move beyond the gimmick status.

Sadly it's also plagued by some of the worst boss fights ever seen in an FPS... or any game for that matter, truly awful stuff, though perhaps even worse is the tendency to spawn enemies directly behind you to ambush you (in case you thought AvP2: Primal Hunt was a lot of fun), or even respawn them on a constant basis in already cleared rooms, which quickly eats away at your reserves of ammo, health and patience, not to mention making levels confusing to navigate, since you can't rely on your "see enemies=going the right way" instinct.

Luckily mana regenerates at a steady pace, and some of the strongest attacks in the game are spells, so at the very least you won't be left with nothing to defend yourself with.

You keep getting stuck on geometry, elevators and doors will glitch out on you, the story and voice acting are laughable and the game doesn't even follow its own rules. the entire playthrough it has established that demons are impervious to human weapons, only being vulnerable to divine powers, but guess how you kill Lucifer at the end? That's right, with rockets to the face.

Some games are forgotten for a reason.

Cool idea and some interesting aesthetic choices. But can't recall anything besides this.
