Street Fighter: The Movie

released on Jun 01, 1995

Based on the film that's an adaptation of the Street Fighter franchise. Street Fighter: The Movie is a 2D, one-on-one fighting game that utilizes digitized graphics. You have a selection of 16 playable characters, 14 are immediately available and two are hidden. The roster mostly contains the familiar Street Fighter cast, even including some that are not in the film, such as Akuma. In addition, some characters are exclusive to this very game such as Sawada and Blade. This game is not to be confused with the home ports of Street Fighter: The Movie and it and the Arcade version are regarded as separate games. While the home ports use assets contained in the Arcade original, the stages and overall gameplay are different. The Arcade original features more experimental mechanics, whereas the home ports contains more traditional Street Fighter gameplay, mostly in the vein of Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

I like this more than 1&2 simply for its absurdity. Having jean claude before MK ever did is a crazy flex to a very niche crowd of people specifically named Ed Boon

Não há nada que seja minimamente mediano nessa joça.

I mean c'mon, wailing on your foes as FMV Van Damme is pretty fun. I understand that it's not a good fighting game, but I had a good time with it, regardless of the jank.

This game makes me want to hurt myself and the people around me. It makes me want to chase a shot of tequila with a live round to the skull. I've had more enjoyable hospital visits. Funerals even. It has actively affected my mental health to have put myself through this. If I ever end myself, this game will be my 13th reason.

Main - Jean Claude Van Damme

This one's actually a fun game unlike the abysmal home ports. It is EXTREMELY loose which is very refreshing in a world of later SF entries which are very stringent but the overall gameplay concept is still fairly solid. Super entertaining entry I think everyone should try and lab at least once. Also insanely cool developmental history too, especially if you actually care about the film too.

A borderline meme of a game, it lives and dies in your subconscious by how funny you find JCVD and the other digitized actors doing random flips and kicks while screaming what almost sounds like Street Fighter moves.

An obvious (and clumsy) ripoff of Mortal Kombat, figuring out and watching the obtuse special moves every character has is probably the most fun you're going to have playing this game.
