Teacup

released on Sep 23, 2021

Teacup is a narrative adventure game with a focus on exploration and non-linear progression. You play as the titular Teacup, a shy and introverted young frog who loves drinking tea and reading. The day before she is to host a tea party at her house, she realizes she is completely out of tea, and thus must venture into the woods around her to find the herbs she needs to restock her pantry.

A very relaxing, slow-paced game with a storybook feel. This is a perfect game for someone a little younger that can read well or someone older who just wants a cozy adventure game to play while sipping on tea.

This just didn't grab me at all. Very slow walking speed and lots of backtracking and typos in dialogue. There is no list or menu to keep track of your quests and you're just expected to remember them. It is sometimes unclear what you should do next. There is no "toggle to sprint" option - you have to hold the button down. This is a significant accessibility failure in my eyes.

The best thing about this game and what drew me to it in the first place is the beautiful art. I found myself wishing it were a picture book.

It's charming, with some neat mini-games, but also requires a fair bit of backtracking multiple times, with a slow paced main character and also not clear where to go at times.

This is a cute and wholesome little indie game about the love of tea. It's nice and short (I completed it in 2 hours). The story is sweet and the art style is lovely. The puzzles and other in-game activities are fairly simple and fun. Overall, a good chill game that can be played in one session.

glad I waited for it to go on sale as it is incredibly short but gosh if it isn't soooo cute and sweet and absolutely beautiful 🥰

let it be known , I had my ass beat by a children's game. this is embarrassing
