The Conduit is a thoroughly mediocre game that got increased attention purely because of the console it was on. Quality 3rd party support for the Wii was notoriously shaky, so the sight of an original FPS for the Wii that wasn’t total shovelware or a stripped down port caused the gaming press to give it undue attention, with some even calling it the best Wii game of E3 2008, though given the nature of that year’s show it might as well have been running unopposed. The Conduit would’ve been entirely ignored had it come out on any other platform, and it honestly deserved to be. It’s like a console version of one of those Gameloft mobile shooters. It plays like dollar store Halo.

I had to play through most of this game twice since I accidentally deleted my save file when trying to load it. I feel like that's more times than most people in the world have played this game.

Aiming is a bit sensitive, level design is repetitive, and the story is very weak. I especially didn't like the parts of levels that made you scrape your face against walls until you found the hidden scan points to unlock doors, some being arenas with respawning enemies that keep nipping at you.

I did like the secret rooms you could find by solving circle puzzles that gave you OP guns, but most of them had such low ammo that I'd end up holding onto them and ending up only having 1 weapon to use. I also liked the alien guns a lot more than the human guns.

To be fair to The Conduit though, I didn't hate playing the game, but I definitely wasn't really paying attention to it while I played it. I'm glad to have it in my Wii library, but 1 and 7/9ths of a playthrough is enough for me for a while.

What if Halo but on the Wii and worse and with a less sensical plot. Still good though

High 6/10

Levei umas 7 horas pra terminar as dez missões.
Outra coisa, eu adoro a precisão de jogar fps com wiimote, mas cansa o punho. Além disso eu acho o nunchuk um desastre.

One of the better fps on the Wii

One of those solid 6 games, it's fairly enjoyable despite being extremely generic with a boring plot. The Wii controls are great, much better than what I've seen from Call of Duty and GoldenEye, they're the highlight of the experience along with the weapons and impressive visuals.

Recommend it to those curious about it, worth at least the novelty of "hardcore third party Wii exclusive".
