The Idolmaster: Gravure for You! Vol. 8

released on May 24, 2012

This is the eighth volume of The Idolmaster Gravure For You! series. It has a new compilation of songs: "MIKI YellowGreenMIX". Much like Hibiki and Takane's volumes, Miki's image color (fresh green) is replaced with "Yellow Green". This volume also marked Eri Mizutani's second HD appearance, featuring her in a special mode of the game. This mode allows players to take pictures of her wearing the costume "Pastel Bikini" and listen to her sing the BGM music. An option was also developed to allow pictures to be taken on a horizontal, empty beach. Both "Dreamy Wedding" and "Pastel Bikini" debuted in this volume.

More in-depth review of Gravure for You! as a whole

Ohhh... Miki... Pretty princess...

Gravure for You! Vol. 8 is great! Well not "Great" but we take what we can get, this time we got Eri from Idolmaster: Dearly Stars joining us in a cute swimsuit at the beach and for the main 765P girls some basic bikinis as always and some wonderful wedding dresses and they look very cute.

Anime-wise it was honestly pretty boring, episode 21 was actually pretty sweet, I liked how it ended the battle arc between the two idol groups.
Episode 22 focused on Christmas and frankly a boring episode.
Episode 23... Man, episode 23 was really boring, I think it was about the girls not being able to practice together because they had too much work and Haruka was sad, the end was quite surprising though.

Again, not really interesting compared to pre-time skip.

But again, for 10$ it does the job as a Gravure game.

This one probably has the most bang for your buck. 3 different locations to shoot pictures in (even if one is basically an empty beach void WE COUNT THOSE considering what we are working with). Main theme for this one is wedding shoot, and the wedding dress actually meant that they gave everyone new poses since the previous ones from the other volumes would probably not look that great, so the fact that theres actual fresh poses to take pictures of is nice. The secondary theme is once again a swimsuit photoshoot, whoopieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Also has a dearly stars idol as a bonus extra, so there's probably the most variety in this volume. Still definitely inessential to all but the most sane of idolmaster fans (still me)
