Probably the oomfiest game of all time.
Honestly the main reason this game means so much to me is cause it’s about a depressed 14 year old and I played it as a depressed 15 year old. Still, I like it a lot today. I love Nanashi a lot, he’s real cute and needs to get happier. It’s a fairly straightforward game, nothing’s too complex, you could finish the game in a day or two. Much of the friends you can make aren’t so developed, but but it’s still not hard to enjoy them. Friend making in this game is the classic style of “give someone gifts until the affection level goes up.” Possibly a bit simple for a game where the whole gimmick is making friends. Misane’s bonus chapter relationship is a lot weirder than I remember though.

jamais réussi à y jouer à cause des contrôles qui n'étais pas les bons in game

1BITHEART MY BELOVED <3 <3 <3

It's such a sweet little game. All of the characters are super fun and lovable, and I'm admittedly biased as a longtime fan of Miwashiba's art, but the character designs are all so interesting. They're all unique in their own way with their designs doing a great job at accentuating their characterization, and the artwork is So So So Pretty

It's really nice getting to talk to all of them in their own individual friend stories too! I loved being able to befriend every character and learning more about them

The game's endings too?
I finished it in i think 2019 and I still get emotional listening to the ending theme. I cried so bad during the good ending it was so sweet and it's easily one of my favorite game endings

I still think about the neutral and bad endings every now and again too .
The bad ending was tragic but the neutral one sure was an ending ( ;;^^)b

One of these days I'll get around to replaying 1bit :')

When I first started playing 1bitHeart, I was immediately enraptured by the game's aesthetics. The aesthetic work of LiEat, from the same developer Miwashiba, was one of its main appeals and this game doubles down on it many-fold. The gameplay started out as a rather simple Ace Attorney-esque adventure game, all of it incredibly cute. I was ready for another really nice little experience from this developer.

Then I reached the "free time" portion of the game, which is something roughly akin to Persona's social link system, and I was instantly filled with terror. The loop of free time is to initiate conversations with NPCs in the world and see their stories, which you unlock by giving them their preferred gifts, which you buy with the in-game currency, which you unlock by... playing not very good versions of either Puyo Puyo or Tetris with pretty lousy payouts. Oh god. Was this the dealbreaker for the game? Am I really supposed to spend several hours grinding out puzzle games to experience more of this? Then save scum so I don't waste money giving people the wrong gift???

After a short period of this cycle, I reached for a guide. Surely there had to be a better way, right? I looked at the top Steam guide, and sure enough there was a header titled "There Has To Be A Better Way"! Turns out, there is a trivially-easy, infinitely-repeatable way to instantly max out your currency, then buy gifts to your heart's content. You even get an achievement for it!

When I give this game my highest regards, I do not claim 1bitHeart is at all some masterpiece in game design (there is a LOT of room for improvement in that regard). I do not claim it has some incredible story its holding that moved me to tears. I do not claim that anybody else who plays it is going to have nearly the experience with it that I did. BUT, the one thing I do claim is that 1bitHeart is one of the most Poochycore games ever created.

As is apparent from the jump, every element of the game is dripping with style. The character portraits are always a treat to see with each new character--jesus christ did they draw a lot of them really fucking attractive. Each of the five areas you visit are so full of their own personality, with a really cool monochromatic silhouette art style to them and wonderful music that sets each area's tone wonderfully. The music in general is, to put it bluntly, absolutely fucking insane, especially for a game of this scope. The variety of music is shockingly wide, with a lot of characters and conversations being backed by unique vocal tracks. At one point in the game there is a club mix of "Hallelujah", so baffling I couldn't help myself from breaking down laughing. It was so great.

The main story itself is, again, not anything incredible. It has a few points that I felt were a bit messy, but overall its nice and sweet and doesn't overstay its welcome. However, the biggest point of attachment though came from the wide variety of individual character stories I experienced. Each one is only 5-10 minutes long in total across 4 different cutscenes, but Miwashiba has shown how skilled they are at crafting these bite-sized stories between this and LiEat. Almost every character story offered something either cute or heartwarming or funny (more than one left me in a state of "oh my god what the fuck is going on" in a good way), and left me with at least a small attachment to these characters despite such a short time spent. I especially appreciated how often the stories would involve other characters you met previously, letting them bounce off of each other and really making the world feel more alive then just a bunch of disconnected NPCs. There was one set of stories which had you experience the same set of events from both perspectives and you learn from both of them, just really cool stuff!

Once I got to the end of the game, I did feel a bit emotional! Despite its issues, 1bitHeart did manage to drag me so deep into its vibes, endearing me so much to its world and characters. It's not my favorite game of all time by any means, but I don't know if any other game has so succinctly matched my vibes. I really wish I knew how to better describe exactly what about it enraptured me so much, what I wrote above may not sound like a true 10/10 experience, but I don't know. It was just pure Poochycore.

lvoe the characters very cute game but i couldNot sit through the bonus chapter bc of the ship content

nanashi just like me fr

This game was very important to high school David

character design gets all the points Amazing beautiful showstopping natsukage you will always be famous

A cute game with a very charming art style. Takes after DanganRonpa and Phoenix Wright a lot, and it's definitely an enjoyable experience. I wouldn't say it's anything spectacular though and despite how strong the visuals are, I don't think the game really stuck with me or really made a lasting impact.

Society if it accepted Nanashi :

In all Seriousness tough The Character Designs Fuck hard the story has a Few Holes but it is still manageable Nanashi being the mc is Nanashi! tried to get to this line so that he would stop being bullied and just be able to be accepted by society for who he was.
The Price for this was shutting down his emotions, agreeing to what everybody else had to say, belittling himself down as to see everybody else as a valuable person, wether their intentions were bad or good, people were everything to him but not himself But thanks to Misane he Opens up his view to people, To love himself and Treat himself a bit better. HES JUST LIKE ME.!!!!!!

the designs in this game are bangers

While it wasn't impressive at first, I found the story and characters to be rather interesting. I feared I had to grind money for gifts for completion by playing tetris and puyo puyo, but turns out there's a secret spot that gives you lots of money (and is required for achievement), so it isn't a huge deal. For those who like visual novels with good plot and memorable characters, I can recommend it.

The gameplay itself is simplistic and repetitive, but the short, charming story and lovable main character more than makes up for it.

I wanna rate this game better because I liked the actual story a lot, ending was touching but to get the best end I had to danganronpa fte style so many characters I didn't care about, it was kinda boring ;_; I still don't think it was too bad, but yeah.

A game with an interesting story, fun characters with fun designs, and good music that is bogged down by odd conversation logic, poorly-aged jokes, and an uncomfortable epilogue.

a really sweet game. the art is amazing and holy crap, all the character designs... i really liked the story too

Game about making friends when you don't really understand how to talk to other people. Very beautiful and heartfelt game.

The art style is eye-catching and the overall world design and character design is where this game shines. All the NPC's you meet are different and unique and you're hard-pressed to find one that you won't at least connect with or like. The story is also intriguing and fun to watch unfold

i love the vibe of this game and the sentiment is great but unfortunately the story holds it back a little from being something truly special. also the social links (or whatever you may call it) are pretty inconsistent (akuta and sora are great though.) happy ending is really great. if you're a danganronpa or persona head looking for something to play check this out

As a former neet turned social butterfly, I think I'm too old for this game. I find the writing a bit cringey too but I'm glad it's been positive for other people.

played it back in high school and i'm pretty sure it rewrote my brain chemistry

however i think if i played it again in present day i'm sure the epilogue would leave me significantly more uncomfortable and my opinion would probably drop considerably

the age gap in one of the main couples is a HUGE negative for me. everything else is very enjoyable & easy to play, portrays self deprecation & loneliness in means to change for the better.

[Critical: 7.5/10]
A colorful adventure with charming characters. While not as interactive as Danganronpa or Ace Attorney, fans of those franchises may enjoy this short game for its mystery and aesthetic.

[Personal: 8/10]

My favorite game of all time. I know the story is really meh and that the friend integration should have been worked on a bit more, a lot of the cast feel like eye candy for the areas and befriending people feels a bit cheapened by the fact it's just throw items to watch 3 events and then never talk again. i think that couldve been worked on. The story of 1bh honestly changed my life because i was a full blown hikikomori when it came out and it made me want to open myself up and venture out into the world more so it's just a really special game to me

a good story about the protagonist learning how to care for and be cared by others
