I like Bayonetta 1 more the Bayonetta 2, but both are really great. This is what put Platinum Games over with their audience and it's not hard to see why.
I have really mixed feelings about the first Bayonetta to be honest. With a punishing rating system for each level, quick time events, and a weird greyish colour filter over the screen, I don't love this game but I do enjoy some parts and appreciate it as a whole as it came out at a weird time in video game history. Bayonetta 2 however is just incredible. The sequel rectifies so many faults that the first game had by removing the quick time events, beautiful graphics that pop out with so many rich colours to lift your mood, not penalizing the player for using healing items, and also continues the great things with an endless combo system, many rewards to unlock via replays, minigames and really likable characters who will deliver cheesy dialogue that will only put a big dumb smile over your face. I strongly recommend this bundle to every Switch owner out there. One of my personal favorites from Platinum Games, seconded only by Astral Chain.
