Commander Lilith And The Fight For Sanctuary was a massive surprise when it was announced, i don't think anyone was expecting a new DLC for a game that hadn't seen new content in over 5 years. It was even bigger surprise that even after all this time the newest DLC that bridges the gap between Borderlands 2 and 3 is pretty good.

I like the level design in The Fight For Sanctuary each one of the new maps feel unique from one another and separate themselves well from any of the numerous maps added in other DLC. The story is largely the main focus of the DLC, and it's pretty good. The bridge between Tales Form The Borderlands and the mainline games is bridged with this DLC and i have extremely mixed feelings on Gearbox's version of Vaughn. I understand what they were going for, having Pandora slowly make him crazy, but it just feels like they dumbed him down and made him way to bro-ey. The villain of the DLC is actually pretty damn cool, and he gets a decent amount of time to shine. whether that be in multiple echo's scattered through the maps or him constantly antagonizing you through the echo. I like that he is taken mostly seriously, having a serious character in a game that is largely not serious give a nice contrast.

This is a nice way to cap of Borderlands 2 and explain some events before Borderlands 3. Even with my few issues with the DLC the good largely out weighs the bad.

Loved this DLC, haven't played it before now but knew it was set up for the next Borderlands game. Luckily it came in the Pandora's Box collection.

Was a bit difficult at the start as I didn't have much in the way of legendaries so the fights were tough. Used the relic that increases the chances of rare items dropping so managed to pick up a few that made all the difference.

This was a free DLC for a limited time. It's also not a great way to tie the story of 2 to 3. Some of the problems revolve around the new game areas being uninteresting, and the story is also a bit lackluster. It all just feels a bit too forced.

dlc that was supposed to lead onto 3rd game but never did

was really happy they did this before BL3 was released. a decent DLC that got me excited for the next entry in the series

Not bad for the prologue to Borderlands 3. I think its more impressive Gearbox updated Borderlands 2 while also working on their third installment.

DLC that bravely promises to provide a bridge to BL3 without anything of consequence happening, kinda like BL3.

THE LAST OF US SI FUESE BUENO

The idea of releasing a piece of DLC this extensive so long after the last DLC drop FOR FREE (for a limited time) is so fucking cool that it kinda clouds my judgement a bit. Still, it’s a pretty good chunk of content even though it ends up not mattering all that much in BL3.

This was a decent DLC. Probably, I always forget about it. I had fun playing it and the gameplay was up to par (of course it was, it was more Borderlands and there was effort with enemy /new location variety and didn't feel cash grabby) but the writing felt "weird". Vaughn was off just enough to notice and I remember a few events seemed weird too.

I had a few other gripes when playing it during release but I'm having a hard time remembering much of this DLC. Still, I remember enough to know that the writing was better than BL3 so that's a plus.

Good story. Really interesting to see this DLC can prove the coloring could be good in borderlands 2 when it wants to be, the devs should apply the color vibrancy to its texture pack/QOL DLC

This one was actually pretty good, probably my 2nd favorite DLC after Tiny Tina's. There was a good amount of variety in new enemies, returning characters, and a complete story that didn't feel too rushed. The new rainbow loot adds a nice small change to the gameplay that this late in the game needed.

Overall ends up being a pleasant gap filler between BL2 and BL3.
