Completely and utterly incompetent. Combat approaches mediocrity but then awful bosses and some awful enemies ruin it entirely. Revolting in every other possible aspect, especially the abundance of unscripted walking sections and constant cutscenes that either show the next ten seconds of gameplay or zoom in on Dante’s ugly ass face so we know his reaction to every situation

Devil's dalliance é minha fase favorita.

Hated it at first, but its actually a good game (Except for the fucking annoying slow "follow npc" missions)

The best Devil May Cry of all time

its like the monster energy of video games

ideiais legais no combate, porém level design meia boca, bosses fracos e final +-

I really regret that I only got acquainted with the game in 2022. This is an exemplary and interesting handmade slasher film.
Combat at the highest level. The plot is banal for “good and evil”, but interesting moments are present and seasoned with youth humor. I still liked the platformer in the game (many people criticize it), since the character feels great and dilutes the mess on the screen.
The only negative is the graphics. It’s very striking in our time, but you adequately understand that the game is already 10 years old

i hate the fact that i fw the combat in this game

Its not that bad guys its actually kinda good.

DMC5 faz esse jogo parecer uma obra prima

This starts with strippers, and Dante getting blown. Best game.

Don't do it, but this game just feels like you should drink energy drinks while playing.

Dante doesn't give a fuck. He's great. I love him. He isn't #MyDante, but he isn't #NotMyDante. He's also from Jersey.

This is like what I think a live-action adaptation of DMC would be like.

I love the way they cut from gameplay to cutscenes. It's not as jarring as most games.

I love the text.

I love the balls-out all-in insane style.

Some of this level design is just the fucking best. And, I mean, what the fuck, you're inside a news jingle.

It's funny that they used the Succubus dialogue during the marketing 'cause that's, like, legitimately the worst part of the game.

The second worst part is when you're underground and shit and you're heading to the tower. It just isn't that nice to look at.

I think it's really fucking cool that they sort of adapted Nero's grab attack 'cause that was the best addition in DMC4.

I love the blend of the more modern world with almost a more traditional depiction of angels and demons.

The weapon switching system (inspired by Heavenly Sword) is my favorite of the series. It's so easy and lets you string different weapons together a lot more controlled than in the other DMC games.

"Angel Mode"? "Devil Mode"? This is the most gloriously 2010s edgy game ever made.

Fuck you, Joe. You've tricked me into thinking this game was bad for 9 years.

Honestly? I sort of wish they ran both series at the same time.

If it wasn't for the fact that the combat gets a bit repetitive towards the later half, and that some of the level design isn't that interesting to look at, I'd give it a 9.

And white-haired Dante becomes the "Standard" skin after you beat the game, so everything it changes about the lore is justified.

DEVIL MAY CRY PWRO ESTAS EN CRACOVIA TO LLENO DE PUTAS Y ALCOHOL

Recomendo bastante jogar ele.

Gameplay carries this one, but god does the dialog suck.

Spent the entire game (and the next couple of years) thinking it was a remake.
Finished the game thinking I had been playing with Dante.
Saw DmC5 and realized I had no F*cking idea what was going on.
Solid experience, 10/10

people shit on this game because of the character assassination and honestly that's really fair, but the game and combat itself is pretty fun. there's like a million weapons you can use (exaggerated for comedic effect). but yeah don't play this if you're looking for an actual story

The best insult demons with millenia on their back can come up with is saying "fuck you" on repeat.
Gameplay is alright but story is mid af

Some of the coolest levels and art direction in the series. Dante's gameplay is varied but not overwhelming and combines even some of the fun aspects of Nero. In it's own weird edgy way its still as funny as the normal series. Some of the cutscenes especially early on really sucked though and that whiplash of it not being the same DMC you know kind of hurts early on. Although I don't mind these versions of the characters as their own thing and I think the game is ultimately still great as a whole.

It's a shame they didn't continued the story. It was a really fun game.

If you look beyound all the dirt this game piles unto itself you actually have a decent combat system with some great mechanics like how it handles weapon switching. But at the end of the day there is a lot of dirt to dig thorugh, like a terrible story tat makes you wonder what drug was going around the writers room, a terrible artstyle every where you look, boring level design and incredibly dull boss fights, and just to add insult to injury these are all things that the original DMC series excelled at.
