I was so happy they went back to traditional Mario Party! Game comes with 5 boards and a great selection of minigames from across the series. Unfortunately the board selection does get tiring after a while and I wish DLC would add more boards and characters into the game. With that said, this is the first Mario Party game to get online play at launch and that's awesome!
I miss the ally system and only 5 boards really holds this back.
This game is so close to peak. Just add more boards and characters Nintendo, why are half of these boards shit. Fun time, but will get old sooner rather than later. Please never bring the car back tho, you get a star just for that tbh.

The fact that they added online playing is the best thing ever, and finally I must said. The old formula is there too, which is my favorite. However, I would have loved having more boards, especially the ones from the Game Cube games.

It's technically a good game. It's Mario Party: The Top 100 but done right, giving people fun past boards to play on in addition to a strong lineup of minigames. It just bums me out how much wasted potential there is here. Nintendo released DLC for Mario Kart 8 years after the fact, so never say never I guess ---- but getting no additional DLC boards to bolster this game just kinda blows my mind. It's good, but could've been so much more.
A great way to revitalize the series, even better than Super. I'll admit the collection of minigames isn't the best; I think it leans way too heavily towards the N64 era and there are some real oddball choices on top of that (seriously, out of all the minigames from 9, you picked Manor of Escape?), but for the most part it's a good selection. And while I would've certainly liked to see some GameCube boards, the ones they picked are really strong. Plus, full online support from the get-go is not only fun, but helped introduce a new wave of Let's Players to the magic of Mario Party.

Won the mario party college tournament with a huge coin mini game gamble. Actually felt god like. We got free food it was hype.

Man this game makes me so happy. A amazing return to form for the Mario Party series boards are great but wish there were more and the mini-games are seriously so good but gimme more Mario Party 8 love :(

really good Mario Party, not all the boards are great imo (I don't like Peach's Birthday Cake) but the minigame selection is stellar. kinda sad to see we haven't gotten a truly good classic formula Mario Party in a while now... (and I say that when I'm one of these people that likes Super Mario Party) but you know, it'd be a bit hypocritical to ask for that while also dismissing a good remake such as Superstars.
this is a pretty good step in the right direction but it'd be so good to have a brand new, great, flamboyant entry in the franchise. in the meantime I'll just pull up this game at friend gatherings and enjoy myself as I lose for the 40th time to my brother.

My friend hates this game so much that whenever we play it, she becomes the most toxic being on earth. "You'd never survive a COD lobby" people would be sobbing unrelentlessly if they even stood next to her during a game of Mario Party.

It would have been so easy to make this the best game ever. Just keep adding boards, you could have even charged like 5 dollars a piece and made infinite money.

This game is great but it desperately needs more than 5 boards.
An excellent recreation of the original mario party formula with classic maps. I just wish there were more than 5 maps!
