i dont think i ever got a good ending in this game

i remembered this game randomly! but i did play it! first otome(i think thts what its called?) game i ever touched and.. I KINDA G O T I T? LIKE it was pretty fun keeping up with and i cant really remember much that pissed me off
this is probably one of the first mobile game i can think of playing that made it click in my head like "wait, mobile games can be fulfilling using real time management Without microtransactions or some penny huffing loser mechanic shit"
which is funny because i scarcely remember much other than the game being cool and thinkin 707 and jaehee were cool
and bein kinda freaked out by some ppl tht wanted jumin carnally online
I saw a really funny ass vid of him getting spanked at mach 4 though
Or maybe it was just an anime man that looked eerily similar in a game ad... hm.. who knows!
If you can even still get your hands on it sure try this, whatve u got to lose, it didnt really change my world but it was neat

this was the first otome I ever played and let me tell you I was fucking obsessed. Id like to play it again because I didnt do all the routes back then and to be honest I love zen so so so much I want to see him again my babygirl……… If you have lots of free time and a really bad sleep schedule its a great game to kill time :)

To this day, Jaehee's route is still the most romantic route I've ever played in an otome game. I was absolutely giggling like an idiot the entire time I was replaying her route.

rika was better than every romanceable man in this

the way this game had me setting alarms for 3am in middle school so i could talk to these mfs

these are the worst fictional men ever. i love them
(jaehee is perfect, however)

when i was 15 i set alarms for four in the morning so i could talk to these pngs

i love how iconic every route is, but i don't recommend it to people that love sleeping. it is needed to change your sleep schedule; if not, you'll get a bad and weird af ending

i've been playing the game almost since it released and have been coming back to it on an almost yearly basis. i really enjoy the characters and story, as well as the story telling. it's a good game, but usually i lose motivation after i finish one route

I used to set alarms to wake up in the middle of the night so I wouldn’t miss the boys chats. Every route is absolutely iconic.

weird af i love this shit

wowow this is on this website?? im impressed. also this game had a grip on me so bad that all the flaws dont matter. 10/10 the thrill of this game affected my brain.

"the game that cares if you ate but not if you slept" a comment i read a while ago lol

3am phonecalls what a life huh

Eu tentei pegar o Zen mas peguei a rota do Yusuke 2 vezes
Eu devia ter pegado guia porque odeio esse viado que joga lol

every otome should stop trying atp because this is peak and always will be

a gameplay é bem unica e divertidinha, personagens cativantes e a melhor rota obviamente é a do saeran

save me pngs in my phone. save me

i'm in the middle of my seven route run as of writing this so this isnt a complete log BUTTT i enjoy this game. obligatory mention about all the paywalls; i bought a couple hourglasses just to top me off so i could do deep story but i really dont like the fact you either have to spend a bunch of time grinding for hourglasses OR pay money to get the hourglasses just so you can play the other routes. other little annoyances are the chat speed being too slow even on its fastest speed (you CAN buy the ability to use max speed for like $3 but id like to go through the chats quickly without immediately skipping to the dialogue choices) and having to replay through the entire first few days if you dont want to spend hourglasses skipping to where the game branches off. either one of these on their own is like.... whatever. but both of them just makes for a really grueling replay experience, even when im going for a different route.

while not an explicit romance, i felt like jaehee's route was the most enjoyable. it felt like a connection formed from actually getting to know a person compared to a lot of the guys who focus more on mc being cute. do i enjoy the other routes / characters ? of course. seven is a close second fave; his behavior and way of speaking are very reminiscent of someone i would be friends with, so its easy to like him. zens route... was something. i like zen ill admit, but responses that typically appeal to him put me off so bad LOL. while i havent done their routes yet, i only like jumin when hes talking about his cat and i find it hard to like yoosung. i remember liking yoosung when i first played the game, so i suppose ive just grown out of that character type.

what else to mention about a game i havent finished... i do enjoy the phone calls / text messages outside of the chats. its funny finishing a chat, immediately getting a phone call, and then getting a text message while in the middle of said call. I LOVE TEXTING AND COMMUNICATING THROUGH PHONES IN GAMES !!!!

An actual masterpiece. I dont think there is a romance game better than this. Will love this game forever, I'm sad that people are starting to leave it behind. I am Rika real

played through the original good endings and then gave up
neat but not for someone who likes to sleep

This game is so iconic. Seven is a genetically engineered tumblr sexyman. They're my little funnies. Why is the Jaehee route not explicitly gay!

+ i got into it early so there wasn't that many paywalls/they were really bugged and easy to avoid. So keep in mind I didn't have any frustrations with that.

This review is based on me... avoiding having to pay, so this review doesn't factor in pricing and paywalls.

This game is so neat. I genuinely love the concept, I love the art, I love the characters. The story is surprisingly dark for such an otherwise bright and fun game, and the twists and turns are engaging and interesting.

The translation is pretty good - it's a little goofy in places where certain jokes or figures of speech in Korean don't quite land the same in English - but there's nothing that doesn't make sense.

It's a time commitment for sure if you're playing it as intended; the game lasts for 11 real-life days, with chats triggering once every hour or two up to around 3AM, and unless you want to deprive yourself of sleep you will miss some. I don't play it this way because frankly I hate missing out on content, so I tend to run through routes all at once via my... evasion.

I'm still yet to play V and Saeran's routes, as well as all of the character-specific runs through of the DLC chapters, but from what I have completed:

Jaehee: My first route, and the one I'm most fond of. I love Jaehee - she's probably my favourite character from the game as a whole, and I think she's wildly underrated (I can't blame people, considering most of the people who play this are likely straight girls, but c'mon! At least for the content!). It's sweet, cozy, wholesome, and the least dark of all the routes; the main antagonist is literally capitalism. It's light on the romance and more implications and "gal-pal"ing in the main story thanks to censorship, but it's more explicitly romantic in the DLC episodes.
Yoosung: Yoosung is a sweet one, and the character I probably relate to most. I enjoyed his route by the end, but the first half of it can be pretty frustrating due to his repeated insistence on comparing you to Rika, calling you Rika, telling you he pictures you as looking like Rika, etc. Not exactly inducive to a good romance. He does get over it if you're on the right ending, though, which I was relieved by (that shit did feel pseudo-incestuous at times).
Zen: Zen is probably my least favourite of the main five characters, but I don't dislike him per se - I just find his habit of making everything about him and doing nothing but complaining in every single chat he's in exhausting (seriously, keep track of how many chat rooms he just comes into and complains in when you're not on his route). That said, his route was still sweet; he's very straight-forward and romantic, which is a nice change of pace from the more slow-burn options. The antagonist in his route pissed me off for very personal reasons, and she's pretty much cartoonishly evil, but I suppose there are people out there like that.
Jumin: My favourite of the Deep Story characters, but I'm not sure how I feel about his route itself. His bad endings can be pretty wack, and the first time I played through his route I was left with such an uncomfortable, cornered feeling - and that's with getting his good ending. It wasn't what I expected at all, and there were some truly questionable elements in it. I did eventually come to appreciate it for what it is, but if you have a history of any kind of abuse or non-consensual encounters etc. you should probably know what his romance entails before starting it.
Seven: This one is the fan-favourite, and I do see why, even though it doesn't quite click with me as much as it does for others. This is the most plot-heavy and relevant route, and there's a lot going on here; there's a reason most people say you should leave this one for last. I don't personally like the 'Seven is aware of your replays' theory (it makes me feel guilty!), but I suppose that's another reason to leave this one for last.
