It's tetris! and puyo...

Never cared much for puyo. May be my colorblindness, or my smooth, smooth brain, but for whatever reason it just doesn't click with me. But Tetris, I love. This seemed like a version I could get on the switch, with a cute aesthetic and some bonus features to enjoy with it. The story was... inane, but had some cute and weird characters, and the game itself has a variety of fun modes that make it worth it.

I've had Puyo Tetris on my eye since I caught wind of the game with the Switch launch lineup and this fusion of both Puyo Puyo and Tetris came out a lot better than I expected! The new gameplay modes that fuse both games are really fun to go through and while I did find using my Tetris soul towards destroying CPU players, I did get better at Puyo in the process too! Big recommend for Tetris and Puyo Puyo people all around, experienced and unfamiliar.

Played through part of the story mode on Switch, but the first half of the game's namesake just fails to click with me. Tetris is fun and easy to approach, but I am unwilling to overcome Puyo Puyo's sharp learning curve, even after watching the game's lessons on it multiple times and scouring the Internet for tips. This just isn't for me; on account of a massive skill issue, I will not be returning to Puyo Puyo Tetris.

Game that got me into tetris, when it was popular it was really fun climbing the ranks.

I came for the Tetris and stayed for the PuyoPoyo. This game is one of the best crossover games ever made and one of the best puzzle games ever made. Tetris is one of the best games ever made. PuyoPuyo is one of the best games ever made. Tetris Vs PuyoPuyo in an epic storymode IS the best game ever made.

I hate my gf for using puyo when I'm playing tetris

i like puyo puyo and i like tetris but what the fuck were they thinking combining them into one game.

ngl though its really fun

no se jugar ni al puyo puyo ni al tetris pero es divertido fracasar

she puyo puyo on my tetris till i frantic four-player puzzle mashup

tetris level : good enough
puyo level : abysmal (with extreme luck, becomes good enough)
I gotta admit that I mostly play this to just play Tetris from time to time and nobody around me likes score based puzzle games enough to the point of wanting to play it with me, so yeah I don't come back to it a lot. but this is still a super super good Tetris and Puyo title, fusion mode is really fun, love the cosmetic options and the style of the entry and I like the cast and the voice acting!

Not really the best but it has its charm...

Odeio omelete e eu amo meu namorado demais

Puyo Puyo Tetris is a nice start for anyone who wants to learn how to play both games. The adventure mode is almost a long tutorial with a lot of training. If u already know the basics, you will get 3 stars on each level really fast, and thats the whole thing! They put a lot of effort into teaching you HOW to play their game, exercise-specific strategies, and all!
The story is cute and simple with INCREDIBLE character design (4 real, I love this SM to the point where I'm sad that their just flavor for this game), they do a good job making you stay playing this mode.
Anyway, this game was made for being played online; once I played against someone who wasn't a machine, my experience became joy and everything made so much sense. It's really impressive how they put so much effort into teaching just for the player to have some fun.
Its sad that nobody plays this anymore (probably their playing puyo puyo tetris 2, but still).
Puyo Puyo Tetris is great.
ty to my gf who gave me this :)

ps: why tf they make you pop 100.000 puyos?

altho i never played this too deep it was ultra fun to match shit

i keep getting cooked by the coms i think this game might be rigged

this game is fun but watching americans try to pronounce puyo puyo is more fun

Imported this from Japan just to be able to play Tetris on the Vita, no regrets. However I don't know how to play the other modes because I can't read

why am i now just finding out Puyo & Tetris have cute lil mascot guys??? i need an O & Carbuncle plush! x'D

My peak senses are tingling.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is straight up just one of the best puzzle games AND one of the best crossover games ever made and I don’t really know how I feel about that. I do know how I feel about the game though, THAT SHIT SLAPS!

They could’ve so easily just made this “puyo puyo and tetris haha lmao.” But instead, they went above and beyond to give us a strong contender for the best entry that both of these series’ have seen. With a wide variety of game modes and gimmicks, tons of playable characters, a whole ass STORY MODE, they tried way too hard on this game and I am all here for it.

The story mode is so insanely goofy and stupid, yet I still managed to fall in love with all the characters and the crackhead energy they each have on full display. Plus it manages to just do a really good job of balancing all the different gameplay styles and showing you them without cramming them down your throat. Going into the campaign I really only cared about Tetris and barely cared about Puyo Puyo even remotely. But they somehow made me genuinely invested in learning the mechanics and trying to pull off the best combos I could.

This is also just an incredible party game, some of those game modes get intense as hell and that was when I was playing with only CPUs. Real life/online multiplayer with this shit is probably 10 times as crazy. Shoutout Big Bang in particular, that one is definitely my favorite.

Admittedly I am definitely aware of how unbalanced this game is competitively, since a good Puyo Puyo player will pretty much always beat a good Tetris player. But I just don’t care man, this is a package that has so much more love put into it that I really cannot hate much about it. I’ll get to the sequel later down the line, but for now I’m gonna continue to have a blast with this one. Btw shout out Arle and Carby they're my goats 🙏

We need the anime version of Pazhitnov!

A fantastic party/competitive game.

only played for the marathon, my brain can't comprehend puyo
