this monkey fucking fucking fucking RAAGHHHHHHH

I really like these kinds of games. Great music and sound effects, and fun gameplay!

Not good, but not bad either. Controls are ok, but not quite the same as SMB2. Enough of a difference to make me visibly worse at the game with the new engine. It's just not the same man. 😭

“Step in the right direction” yeah but it’s the best game in the series

An incredible recreation of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe! From the bright and colorful visuals, to the added modes and customization options, this may be the best way to play these classic games. The only thing that may give some people trouble is that the game's physics are altered slightly from Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, which may cause problems when doing some tricks.

the jump makes this game SO MUCH FUN

crap remaster of two peak games that fucks up the physics and feels sauceless asf

The definitive Monkey Ball experience. It's the complete package, except for Monkey Target. Oh, they ruined Monkey Target.

the sound design is like hitting a rock with a dry pool noodle

As addictive and fun as ever. There's some frustration, but you just have to know when to push through and when to quit. Beat the story, did the SMB1 challenge modes up to Expert, and 2's up to Normal. I did my Launchers time in the story. I'm free.

Ran through the first three worlds and then the party games... quality of life changes, new tunes etc, and "whoopty doo it's on Switch now" but this port controls and feels pretty poor by comparison. (Probably a non-issue if this is your first outing.)

like the art style but omg fuck this monkey ball fucker

baby is very cute I love him but I suck at this game

Everything from the sound design to the visuals to the physics and gameplay feel worse yet I've still come to enjoy it. Reminds me of the klonoa remakes where the charm of the originals still shine through enough to be worthwhile

I hate this game so much (I also love this game)

I finished with Birth. I do not know why I slept on this when I first played this, this game was very good. I wish SEGA could do this kind of remaster work with Sonic.

feels really good to play, looks beautiful, kinda missing the charm of the original, but also you can play as sega consoles

having only played banana blitz before this banana mania was a very pleasant game to play. the levels are very well designed and the difficulty was a lot harder than banana blitz. there's also just a lot of levels to sink your teeth into with this one as it has all the levels from 1, 2 and deluxe plus variations. the minigames were alright but from what i have heard they butchered monkey target. just a really solid time and i hope with sega reviving a bunch of series that we get more monkey ball

the opening theme is also a banger :)

How is there no 4 player classic mode that is a crime

A reminder of both the joys and faults of the Nintendo Gamecube arcade platformer. The remake features a ton of content but also yields numerous frustrations and alterations that do some elements of the classic two games dirty.

A remake of the original 2 Super Monkey ball games was a great idea, but the execution and tweaks made mean you're better off with the originals.
The main issue I have is that there were changes made to mini-games that make them far worse than their original versions. Monkey Target, by far the best mini-game from the originals, is basically unplayable due to the physics changes. Others such as baseball have inexplicable changes that you can get used to but are frustrating...why is the friction on the ground so high? And your swing is much slower?
The physics in general for the main game are also different and feel less precise, but to me that is less of an issue than what was done to the mini-games. Some like racing and fight are still fun but the package as a whole is disappointing compared to the originals. If you don't have the originals, this game is still worth picking up used as it's fairly inexpensive (you can probably get it for under $20 if you look)

Best Shin Megami Tensei collection to date, thanks again to my buddy David for getting me this 🫶

It’s good, if not finicky. I should play more Super Monkey Ball.

fun game that I'm glad I played. low-key I like the characters more than the actual game. performance on switch is perfect. playing as kiryu is really funny. there are some levels in this game that I am certain are not possible for a human to complete. don't lie to me.

kinda crazy there is literally nothing like these games.
