Not as good as the three 3D Zeldas that came before it, but still a good game in its own right. Gets a lot of flak (some deserved) for its pacing, especially at the beginning, and the fact that it introduces a couple very cool items - the Spinner, the Ball and Chain - that are woefully underused. Definitely a harbinger of Zelda struggling to find its way in the 3D era until BoTW came out.

A game almost certainly made in response to the very negative reaction people had to the reveal of Wind Waker. Here you go, everyone, here's the brown, mature Zelda you were asking for. More Ocarina of Time! A very derivative Zelda game built around the reverence for OoT. It's still a fun game, but it's just not that great either. The spinner is a very cool dungeon item that does not get nearly enough use. Some of the dungeons and boss fights are pretty inventive, though.

For as much complaining there was back then that Wind Waker was a baby game for babies... Twilight Princess's difficulty sure does feel like it was tuned with babies in mind. The final boss only does a half heart of damage with every hit. The only way you are dying in this game is if you are doing a 3 heart challenge run and you happen to be wearing the Zora armor when you get shot by a Bokoblin's fire arrow.

Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game and I love that game immensely.

Twilight Princess feels like a fantastic OoT successor that hits the mark harder than any other 3D Zelda. I love this game with all my heart.

"Go and do not falter, my child!" - The Hero's Shade, formerly known as the Hero of Time.

My first exposure to Zelda has left quite an impact on me hasn't it? Sorry Midna, but I didn't buy this game just for you....okay maybe a little bit. This spiritual successor to the N64 games is one I remember quite fondly. Channeling Link's inner furry was a fun twist I could get behind as well!

I’ve tried to play this game like 4 times, but I could never get into it. It always just started too slow for me and I despised the tears of light stages. Once I got past the early game, it is evident that this game perfects the Zelda formula in almost every way. The only “Zelda” aspect this game is kind of lacking in is the side quests. There is like 4 total and 2 are poes and bugs.

Dungeon design is peak. Most of the dungeon themes are things that have been done before, but they are still unique and stand out. Personally, I felt challenged by the puzzles, but never got stuck anywhere for more than 10 minutes. One thing that I wish was more challenging though is the combat. Although if it was, it would kind of be annoying to do with the wiimote.

This game is just token Zelda, but that’s not a bad thing at all. It’s honestly very refreshing coming off of playing a ton of Botw and Totk. Top 4 Zelda

Not my favorite gameplay-wise but you turn into a fucking wolf so that gets extra points. Story's great too, and the soundtrack kicks

No me lo pase, aun asi lo amo

"Midna is so hot"
"Oh so you have seen its final form?"
"What?"
"What?"

"AUUUUUUUUU"

amazing through and through

my fav game of all time, i spend hours and hours while a child playing this, and just the intro's music makes me cry

It was always to hard for me to beat as kid. I’d like to try again some day

I know I haven't played that many Zelda games in my life, but to me, this has got to be one of the best 3D Zelda games.

It might look a bit ugly compared to other games in the series, and in some areas, it suffers from the usual tedium that traditional Zelda games give me (Especially during temples); but what can I say, this game hooked me and I really enjoyed the whole journey.

A part of me would like to revisit it some day, now having a bit more experience...But another part of me just can't go back to the traditional Zelda formula after experiencing BotW and TotK. If you want to get into Zelda tho, I would say this is a damn good game to start with; way more fun than Ocarina of Time imo, even with motion controls and everything.

Also, midget Midna awoke something in me that I didn't even know I had....

toisteks paras zelda peli ei edes lähel siis tää on niin hiton hyvä rakastan tätä

Best zelda game. It's just so good!

Every Zelda games has it's pros and cons. Some say to prefer the vast landscapes of the Great Plateau in BOTW, other sprefer the classic esistentialism of Majora's Mask, and other funky fans prefer the dress up in Triforce Heroes....

For me Twilight Princess will always have a place in my heart. It may be it's more linear way to explore the world compared to titles like OoT or Wind Waker. It may be the incredible selection of dungeons: each unique and creative with their environmental puzzles and storytelling (Snowpeak Ruins, my beloved). It may be the incredible arsenal of weapons, which alongside the Wolf transformation create a enticing combat.

It may be the cool lineup of bosses, enemies and NPCs, which gives so much life to a world that is literally set up in darkness. Or, it may be the fact it features one of the best arcs for a side character in the series, with a tory that doesn't shy away from darker tones while also feeling whimsical and never boring.

I love Twilight Princess: many will not consider it the best The Legend of Zelda game... but it's without a doubt my favorite. Totally worth checking it out.

I thought the game was over when collecting the three moonlight shards and was pleasantly surprised to find that the game was only just beginning <3

These reviews are not objective. This is not the perfect game, nor do I really think the perfect game exists, but if I could describe the perfect game, it'd be the one that changes me most as a person. Something that Twilight Princess has done to me in ways I still can't fully describe. Reviewing this game properly, putting my heart out there and answering why it means so much to me is my whale. I can't do it.

Another very unique experience for a Zelda game... Some annoying bits here and there, but the 2nd half of it is unmatched and the ending still gives me goosebumps to this day. The music is still quite underrated in my opinion.
It's also the game with the best dungeons.

One of the best Zelda games in my opinion. Despite the criticism, I liked the darker style and wolf sections!

Just...yes. Owner of the GameCube, Wii, Wii U and hopefully one day Switch Version

There are lots of aspects of this game that I love, but the wonky controls and wolf form spirit collection missions are a tough bit of gameplay to swallow to get there. Arbiter's Grounds, Snowpeak Ruins, and Twilight Realm are all-time great dungeons though.

Even after all these years, this game is an incredible work of art that makes you feel like a badass.

I had skipped Wind Waker when it came out, so Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game I played since Majora's Mask and man what a fantastic way to return to that world. The dungeons, tools, aesthetic, soundtrack hit so damn hard, and I even enjoyed Wolf Link and the Wii motion controls. I loved this game so much that it became the first Zelda game that I actually 100%'d on my first playthrough - every heart piece, every poe, every bug. Twilight Princess rules.
