Rocket league de golf, não tem muito o que adicionar kkkkk

It's actually a really fun game, especially the racing mode. It's a shame that you cannot find a lobby with more than one other player.

Rocket League but racing and golf

Actually not that bad, but it doesn't have much going for it in it's current state, and the novel idea runs its course in about an hour or so.

Entspanntes Autogolf.

The new game mode for Rocket League looks good, for me it's really more interesting than rolling the ball from goal to goal, here you have to roll from the start to the hole, racing, every man for himself.
But so far there is not enough variety and other game modes, there are also no cross-play lobbies, you won’t be able to play with a friend if he downloaded the game in the gamepass, although people from the xbox seem to come across in the match itself, the visual is nice, no complaints.
While early access, so there is a chance that the authors will complete something more unique and diverse, I put "recommend" - in advance.

Pretty neat but it feels like it’s missing something

Tries so, so, so hard to be the next Rocket League but it isn't anywhere close to as good as anything that game has to offer, but I can't deny that I still did have fun. It is still in early access, so come 1.0 this will hopefully be a much better experience.

A lot of bugs, and pretty mediocre controls. The spawns are also really bad, which doesn't pair well with the strict time limit to hit the ball each round. The level design is on track to be good, but sometimes, it just has things that don't make sense. I hit my ball into a loop (which shoots your ball in the direction of the hole with a specific force value), and my ball landed in sand because of it.

Usually my reviews are more detailed, but I can't be bothered to care for this game. I will note that I have about 1600 hours in Rocket League, which this game is HEAVILY inspired by, however, I don't play it anymore.

Last thing, I think this game could have been better as a single player puzzle style game, similar to "You Suck At Parking". I feel they kind of have the same target audience.

Pros:
- Playerbase is way less toxic than in Rocket League

Cons:
- Playerbase is non-existent
- Everything else

Despite the comparisons to Rocket League, this is more of a kart racing game with a golf objective thrown in. Since the matches are set on golf courses, there are hazards you have to deal with including bunkers that slow you down, out of bounds areas, trees, and obstacles in the way, etc. For added fun, boost pads exist that charge your turbo meter and give a burst of speed. There are no strokes, it's all about trying to get the ball in the hole as fast as possible.

The only single player mode is a series of courses with different layouts that act as time trials. Scoring within a certain time rewards you one, two or three stars. More courses are unlocked as you earn stars, and cores can even be unlocked. These are active and passive bonuses that can be equipped such as making the ball larger, freezing the ball in place, sending out a wave to move the ball some distance, etc. Nice variation here that does add some strategy and a tad bit of depth.

Multiplayer is basic, but fun. It's a short burst of 3 holes of golf (or rounds) where you compete against other opponents where the goal is to get your ball in the hole first. You can't run into opponents or hit their balls as they appear as ghosts; however, shield and missile pickups are available for Mario Kart style attack and defense. One hole can last from 20 seconds to two minutes depending on the course and your skill or luck, so this makes online matches go by in a matter of minutes.

You earn gears (in-game currency) from completing matches and daily challenges, which are used to buy cosmetics from a rotating daily shop to customize the look of your car and ball. At the moment, there are no microtransactions as all cosmetics (very okay to average looking by the way) are purchased with gears.

This is an Early Access/Game Preview title so at the moment, it's light on content and nowhere near as feature rich as Rocket League. Matchmaking can take up to 30 seconds to a minute or so, usually placing you in a game against one or two other people rather than a full lobby of 4 or 5 other opponents. Very fun game but it needs more polish and features. Difficult to say what the future of Turbo Golf Racing will have in store, but still, perfect to just pick up and play in short bursts.

This game is currently in the Humble Choice for July 2023, and this is part of my coverage of the bundle. If you are interested in the game and it's before July 4th, 2023, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle.

Rocket League for golf, with all the issues that it creates.

Turbo Golf Racing is a title I played on Game Pass, in playing it again, I remember it is a solid idea, take car sports and make it work for Golf. Here you try to hit a large ball into the cup. Rather than worry about strokes, this is purely a race to see who can do it the fastest, and with interesting abilities and courses, the experience works… at first.

The problem with Turbo Golf Racing is there are not enough courses to the point that I saw repetition after only thirty minutes of playing online. The single-player offerings are only basic time trials and while there are missions, none of them will take too long. The player base is a bit dead as well. I believe the game uses bots, signified by the gears on screen, but I was usually finding a match with between three to five real players, and the bots would almost always finish last. Rocket League succeeded by having a single course and forcing players to master it and the controls. Turbo Golf Racing has just enough courses and not enough players that there’s probably never going to be the level of competition here.

Pick this up if you want to play an interesting Golf game for half an hour or so. After about thirty minutes I remember why I didn’t go too deep with this title, and while this is on the third season and still in Early Access, even with DLC already, this is really just a grindy experience before long, and the levels are interesting the first time, but hardly something I wanted to play for hours, especially with how often the same ones come around.

Pretty fun, I’m looking forward to seeing how the game evolves throughout the future.
