Never thought I'd get as hooked as I did with this, but I genuinely enjoyed this game. Story was whatevers, better than BL1 but that's not saying much. For all the hate I remember this game getting back in 2012, especially for the humor, I got some legit chuckles and a few laughs out of this. Most of all, I really got hooked with the game's loot and leveling up my character through the various skill trees, up until UVHM. Lost interest once I realized how much grinding and farming would be needed to continue in UVHM.

Up there among the best co-op games ever made along with the best DLC ever made for a game release. Truly a needle in a haystack.

I can't in any good faith really call this a bad game. It's certainly not a GOOD game. There's a lot of heart and soul put into the nooks and crannies, from Handsome Jack's great delivery, some of the interesting build variety choices, some of the speedtech, some really good abilities, some fun satisfying moments with the gunplay.

But like, on top of all of that is a whole fat load of garbage. There's a ridiculous amount of grind, a shitton of terrible writing, a whole lot of fluff and fucking about. I don't understand WHY it's a loot shooter, it doesn't really ever meet that goal of being one. I'm not really a big fan of diablo but there was more concise design choices for why that game is loot-ran, where loot here is a lot of fluff shit.

There's a good FPS here, it's just under a whole lot of gearbox shit. I do fully understand the appeal of why people play this game as much as they do, in fact in some ways the co-op play of it is recommendable on its own in the way most co-op anything is, but even still I can't in any faith keep playing this game past a few hours because it just numbs my mind. I don't think I'm ever really going to grasp the full appeal of this, but I guess I should be glad that people find fun in this game because there's never anything wrong with that.

While this is one of my favorite games, it's easy to tell there are flaws in the game. Clever writing, crazy guns, expansive lore, vibrant performances and delivery, and memorable moments really breathe life into the world more than the first game. However, there are several points in the main story where you feel like you are just plowing to get through. The pacing may fluctuate throughout the game, but it's still thoroughly enjoyable and easily the best entry in the Borderlands franchise.

highly enjoyable, but one of those games i can't imagine playing without friends. significantly less fun without other people. holds up well.

Best story in a looter shooter and somehow the funniest. The guns and movement don't feel the best compared to other games, buts its still great.

I left 10th grade homecoming early to get home and play this with some friends. Iconic memories.

The humour's pretty awful in my opinion but it's fun with friends.

This is my desert island game, no contest

everyone talks about how amazing it is and it.. isn't. it's grindy and boring and the characters are all fucking awful.

impossible to get into after my first initial playthru sorry bros

The game isn't too bad fundamentally. Shooting is okay, story is fine, characters are alright. But the game expects you to play over and over again. The jokes that were old first time you heard them become unbearable. Having to fight the same enemy fifty times to get a legendary isn't fun. Bosses (excluding raid bosses) are ridiculously easy. OP levels is just braindead difficulty increasement of "lets just increase the stats". UVHM actually has a good difficulty jump tho. Play it once and put it down, you gain nothing from new game plus apart from better gear which you probably won't even end up using because you got bored

I really like this game (i still prefer the 1st for reasons even tho the 2 has great improvments), pre sequel is okay, but i prefer the 2nd. The 3rd seems to be better but my pc don't run it properly so i can't compare
I finished BL 2 multiple times and it's really cool

While the sequel improves the gunplay in a few key ways, this remains the overall best in the story with its far superior story. Handsome Jack is an iconic villain and carries the narrative in ways few game characters can. One of the best looter-shooters out there.

Fun enough with chums, but it gets repetitive and some enemies are not fun to fight. Also the humor fucking sucks, but that's a given I guess

i mean it's a lot of fun but holy shit is it a fucking slog after like 5 hours

The game becomes far more enjoyable if you mute all dialogue.

The original (good) looter-shooter and the best one too. This game is really only as good as it is when played in coop, the amazing villain somewhat carries it in single player but as the writing has aged it no longer cuts it.

You'll really only love this if you were a teenager in the early 2010's but fuck man thats me

Fun with friends, a chore playing solo.

Infinitely replayable. And I have the steam hours to prove it.

As gameplay goes, it's no masterpiece. But it's the art direction, music, and at times very engaging story and characters that make this one a winner in my book. And yeah the guns can be pretty fun at times too.

jueguenlo conmigo por favor lo quiero completar

Honestly - my least favorite Borderlands.

The gunplay doesn't improve much from the first game, the characters are unbearable, and the story - forgettable. The biggest improvement over BL1 to me is the environments. They are more varied and more fun to explore.

The core to Borderlands is always fun but the wrapping around BL2 is tasteless to me.
