The visual novel equivalent of a werewolf game. Its a fun ride for sure.

Raging Loop is the perfect VN. It balances horror, heart, and suspense in such a fascinating way. While there's definitely some hiccups and some tropes I don't like, this was my everything and honestly? Is my Visual Novel of the Year (despite coming out in late 2019.)

The first three routes are perfect 5/5-10/10 i fucking discovered who the villain was by the tone of the're voice, but the last route is such a letdown, it has it's moments, the beginning and some other parts, but the resolution of the misteries are dumb, but the epilogues are pretty fun, super weird sometimes and thats nice

i hate this game but i love it but i hate it

read through this 4 times now. fucking amazing cast, with exquisite characterization. everyone feels super distinct, and by the end I came to care for all of them. the plot does get kinda ridiculous at the end, but I still loved it. same goes for all the themes the game brings up about insular communities, religion, folklore, and information.

I never expected Kemco of all companies to put out a game so fantastic, since the most I’ve heard about the companies was that they shoveled out sprite JRPGs that many considered “kusoge”. My expectations were a little low even after hearing some good things about this title, so I was completely blown away by the level of ambition and the incredible atmosphere of tension sustained by strong horror writing and a very fitting art style. I was gripped quickly and finished this in a matter of days because the suspense was unbearable, I simply needed to know how the next conference was going to go.

Structurally, it’s the antithesis to Gnosia, another popular game based on Werewolf mechanics. While Gnosia featured randomly generated Werewolf scenarios that relied on passing stat checks and could be cleared in a matter of minutes, Raging Loop features three pre-defined scenarios, traditional VN choices and are a lot meatier in content. I much prefer this approach, as Gnosia can start to feel lifeless after you learn how to game the algorithm and you see all the repeated dialogue. Here, each scenario is incredibly well-crafted with much attention paid to how the characters respond differently when they’re assigned different roles and how their existing relationships affect their suspicions of each other.

I really do want to emphasize just how great the characters are. A lot of the cast can seem pretty unlikable at first glance, especially during the first loop where several people are very untrusting of protagonist Haruaki, but they’re all incredibly dynamic as different sides come out during the loops and they all reveal themselves to be pretty compelling people. I personally liked Chikamochi, a weird kid who at times I really enjoyed and other times I was incredibly annoyed by but still felt a lot of affection for him, and Haru, who I initially wrote off as a bratty teenage girl until later on when I found an incredibly relatable side to her. The true ending works for me because of how much of it is built off of the attachments the player forms towards these characters, and it carries the ending despite a couple of twists being just a tad deflating.

Also, this VN surprisingly has a lot of replay value! Replaying the game after seeing the true ending lets you view several new scenes where Haruaki wasn’t present, get extra commentary on bad endings, and even adds a couple of additional endings. None of it is really necessary but it’s all good stuff and it gave me the chance to spend a few more hours with this incredible cast. The amount of effort put into it is very appreciable, especially since this game is pretty lengthy even without any of this content.

Overall very solid mystery ADV. Too much info dumping near the end, but the ending is overall satsfying. Bonus content is great.

Took too long to get going to the point where I couldn't bring myself to care, wasn't entertaining or interesting enough to remember the plot.

Visual novels are known for their big dumb endings, I don't know if I've seen one nosedive as hard as this one does though. Everything before that is fine, if a little mid. Like others have said, the protagonist is pretty interesting and probably the only real reason to recommend this.

If you haven't already read the Spike Chunsoft VNs there isn't a reason to recommend Raging Loop over those. If you have read them, you won't get much more out of this unless you REALLY like werewolf for some reason.

A phenomenal game with a fascinating outlook on community and divinity that's compelling the whole way through. An absolute masterpiece.

Really great game, with an amazing premise and atmostphere as well as lore, and absolutely incredibly memorable characters - all of them are so fleshed out that it's impossible to not feel like you're part of the village as well. The plot progressed in such a seat gripping way that i remained glued to it for several days on a row until i completed it. And if that's not enough, upon finishing the story you get access to a sort of story+ mode, where you can reread everything again but this time including extra bits of dialogue outside the MC's reach, such as other character's thought processes and opinions and new scenes, that really add to the story and help complete the experience, explaining a lot of things you may have been left wondering the last time. I said it before and i'll say it again, the atmostphere and the characters are what make this game for me. The MC is one of -if not the most- interesting and full of personality protagonists you'll ever find in a visual novel, and this game wouldn't be nearly as good without him. The rest of the cast are all so lovable but nuanced as well, which really helps complete the feeling of humanity you get from them. The pacing was really to my liking, not too slow but no too rushed, and the resolution of the story has seen a lot of varying receptions from diferent players, but it felt great to me, even if some parts were a bit out of the blue in tone and scale. This vn would be a solid 10/10 for me, if it wasn't for the subtle but consistent nudges at romancing minors, which made me lowkey uncomfortablr in several situations, but mostly with Haru's route and Yasunaga-Hisako in their extra side story. Otherwise, really solid title.

While I wish some elements of Raging Loop's plot had more resolution, it was still a fun ride from start to finish

Interessantes Visual Novel. Wer mit viel lesen kein Problem hat, kann hier locker zugreifen.

"Taichi Kurosu Goes to Sustown" is a 2015 visual novel released by the un-copyrighted equivalent to Kenco. Its gameplay loop is more or less identical to that of the game "Among Us", but the characters are less sus and waaay more human.
While visual novels can sometimes be considered not games, this one tries to show otherwise by having a New Game + mode that recommends you replay it right the way through. Also of note is the inclusion of 2018 image macro "Big Chungus" as one of the characters, albeit in disguise as Tomitake Jirou.
However, not all is perfect. This has, by far, the worst media player option I have ever seen in a game. It's genuinely kind of ridiculous.
Overall, I'd give Taichi Kurosu goes to Sustown a 95/100 rating since it has an interesting story and some things.

final não é tão bom e os epilogos tbm não mas a experiencia por completo vale a pena, te amo Chiemi Serizawa.

This game is really good until the ending when it kinda falls apart, but I still recommend it because Haruaki is probably the most interesting protagonist I've seen.

Basing the story around a game of Werewolf and combining it with a zero escape-ish scenario chart with a lot of bad ends made it a really interesting experience. The pacing is very well-done and I was consistently engaged for the whole story. The characters are all at least a little nuanced and work very well for a werewolf game with how their behavior is adjusted according to their guardians. I especially liked Kiyonosuke since I love when the generally unlikable and stuck-up character gets more depth to them. Haruaki is an excellent main character that really elevates the story with his cool/comical demeanor, sound logic and borderline psychopathic attitude. The twists and turns the story takes are all pretty interesting, though I was kind of disappointed when they revealed the feasts were man-made despite there already being established supernatural elements in the story. The dialogue is well-written, the music is fitting, and the artstyle works well for the dark nature of the story by not being too clean.

Besides some weird parts, Haruaki my mc

Took too long to really get going and I lost interest.

Sweet jesus this final route was garbage

characters (especially the MC) and the lore / mysteries are very gripping, if the premise of this vn seems interesting to anyone I would definitely recommend it but only with the caveat of not expecting too much out of the ending. ended up feeling a bit rushed, not quite hitting the mark and being more of an infodump than anything - still an enjoyable ride overall though!

the game is good but... oooooh the pacing...

80% good, ending was kind of a letdown
