I love the world, combat, and interconnected map, but this game really is only made for people who get a kick out of surpassing difficult things. I never feel any accomplishment for finishing a boss I struggled with to have any drive to push forward. The positives don't make up for frustration and I don't feel rewarded to want to chase that high.

Enchantingly atmospheric, mechanically rich, and addicting to no end. Dark Souls is more than the hardcore difficulty journalists will compare anything to; it's a remarkably beautiful and interesting world to get lost in and conquer, and a true modern masterpiece that will continue to stand the test of time. My biggest problem though would have to be how much your character moans when they get hit. Like, is getting stabbed multiple times in the chest supposed to be a huge turn-on for undead? Maybe that's the real reason to get good

Many of times I have attempted to play Dark Souls and many of times I have failed. Dark Souls is a fun but very frustrating game. The enemies are cool the bosses are weird and the combat is difficult to master. Dark Souls is a great game to play if you have the patience and maybe some friends to help you out.

83/100

Currently getting 100% achievements

Some of my favorite level design ever, feels compact but intricate, good amount of collectables in the form of armor and weapons. Still need to play the dlc.

An amazing first half followed by some truly baffling areas in the second half. Many flaws, but easy to overlook them when the meat of the game is so good

I'd give it 5 stars were it not for the half-assed 2nd half and the Bed of Chaos. Aside from that we all know this is a masterpiece.

The first half of the game is fantastic, but once you beat a particular boss, the game goes downhill with unfinished areas. But the DLC brought this game around at the end for me.

Nice to go back to where it all began. It's quite rough around the edges (hello Izalith) and I genuinely expected to dislike my time with it. So more than anything, I'm chuffed that I look back on it with the fondness that I do.

I think the original Dark Souls holds up as an industry-changing classic. It doesn't have the polish that newer entries have, in my opinion, but what it does have is some fun fights, a cool world, and overall it's hard not to respect what it did for gaming.

I give Dark Souls: Remastered a 9!

Great experience, changed my life, but it really is an unpolished game.

Everything about this game is just immersive, interesting, and leaves you questioning it is truly a masterpiece, but I hate playing this and others in the series with every fiber of my being.

first half is really good and i love the lore and the characters, the roll is weird and it's generally slower compared to other souls games, also the later areas feel half assed but in general terms its pretty good i guess

Such a unique experience, the fact the original work is almost 13 years old and didn't really feel outdated apart from certain aspects is mind blowing to me. The bosses are fun but rather easy, the areas are well designed for the most part but not flawless. The game itself has so much soul to it ( yeah I know funny pun ) and something I rarely felt in a video game
