Phenomenal Spider-Man story and gameplay with too much padding in the form of stealth missions and repetitive, tedious challenges that grind the momentum of this otherwise incredible game to a halt.

Marvel's Spider-Man swings onto the gaming scene as a spectacular action-adventure title that captures the essence of the iconic web-slinger like never before. Developed by Insomniac Games, this thrilling installment thrusts players into the bustling streets of New York City, where they take on the role of Peter Parker as he navigates the trials and tribulations of being both a superhero and an everyday citizen.

Central to the experience of Marvel's Spider-Man is its exhilarating traversal mechanics. Players are given free rein to swing, soar, and parkour their way through the sprawling cityscape, seamlessly transitioning between web-slinging across skyscrapers and sprinting through crowded streets. The fluidity and responsiveness of Spider-Man's movements make traversal a joyous experience, capturing the thrill of swinging through the urban jungle like never before in a video game.

The game's narrative is equally compelling, offering a fresh and original take on the classic Spider-Man lore. Set in a universe separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel's Spider-Man introduces players to an older and more experienced Peter Parker, who must balance his responsibilities as a superhero with his personal life and relationships. The story is filled with twists and turns, as Peter grapples with the emergence of new threats, the return of old adversaries, and the challenges of mentorship and leadership.

Gameplay in Marvel's Spider-Man is a seamless blend of traversal, combat, and exploration. As players swing through the city, they'll encounter a variety of challenges, side quests, and collectibles that encourage them to explore every nook and cranny of New York. Combat, meanwhile, is fast-paced and acrobatic, with players utilizing Spider-Man's agility, strength, and web-slinging abilities to take down foes with style and finesse.

The game's presentation is top-notch, with stunning graphics and attention to detail that bring the bustling streets of New York to life in vivid detail. From the iconic landmarks of Manhattan to the gritty back alleys of Hell's Kitchen, each neighborhood is rendered with meticulous care, capturing the diversity and vibrancy of the city. The character models are equally impressive, with lifelike animations and facial expressions that add depth and emotion to the story.

In conclusion, Marvel's Spider-Man is a triumphant achievement in interactive storytelling and game design, offering players an exhilarating and immersive experience that captures the spirit of the beloved superhero like never before. With its thrilling traversal mechanics, compelling narrative, and stunning visuals, it stands as a must-play title for fans of action-adventure games and comic book enthusiasts alike.

the gameplay is not fun. even on the hardest difficulty, i have a simple pattern and just defeat everything easily. all sidequests are chores. it looks nice at least and the story was alright the amount i played of it at least. i am not buying the sequels this game cemented it for me

Fun combat held down by shitty writing, a boring story, and way too many sections where you play as not Spider-Man.

I dont yet have the exaggerated swagger of a black teen but soon
