This is mostly a minigame RPG. The racing isn't really much of a focus in this one. There's a few race tracks, and they aren't greatly designed. For example, the night city track takes place above the actual city, and it has hop pads. There's a PLATFORMING section where you have to land on the hop pads. If you fall off, you are forced to drive on the ground that slows your car until you get off. And there's the sky track made entirely of flat planes.
I love the cel shading that emulates Yasuhiro Nakamura's artworks, with the lightning bolt shaped windshield reflections.
Would love to finish after knowing Japanese, or if a fan translation patch existed.
