Thank you for the like, that’s how I found your profile, but I have to immensely disagree here. This is a good ass game, by no means one of my absolute favorites but I think just about everything here is wrong. One of my friends has never played video games, she for some odd reason chose Mario 64 because she saw a multiplayer mod. They set it up and started playing the game, ON KEYBOARD. So they were at an insane disadvantage right? It was a struggle to watch them play the game so bad but you know what happened? They didn’t find it hard or frustrating, they enjoyed their time. They started to adapt and learn new moves, they didn’t fail anymore and they actually got a star. If someone who has never played games and is using the WRONG CONTROL SCHEME can figure out how to play the game and why it’s fun, then Mario 64 has done its damn job. It’s an entryway to 3D and was treated like one when it came out and it still is. I guarantee if she played any other 3D game from around that time she would not get past the first level.
