I haven't actually rated/review anything in ages so I have a huge backlog of finished games so apologies for spam buuuuut

I finally got the platinum in this! After playing it like 3 or 4 times I finally just committed and the games very good! I've never played the original so can't speak to how they messed up the hitboxes but it's a good length and has a really good trophy list too.

The bosses are a bit naff though.

Only just played this now but this is basically just Resident Evil 2 Remake if the gameplay was actually thoughtful. Other than some specific beats I didn't really care for the story but this looks and feels amazing to play.

Also I dunno if it was like this in the original but the sound design is next level.

This is just a really standard picross game that advertises itself as innovative but it's just fine. Good podcast game but was expecting much more.

Thought playing with a controller would be annoying but this game is bafflingly good. It's now my most played game on Backloggd (by 40 hours) and I'm genuinely excited to go back for the FF7 DLC.

Can really tell the budget increased between the 2 games. Looks really good most of the time and imo it improved on it in every way. Sadly didn't get into the story as much as everyone who raves about it did but I really enjoyed my time with this.

Very similar to the first game with the very minimal plot and some bad checkpoints but overall still quite fun!

I feel like they improved the combat a lot here between games.

That final boss really is something huh!

Fun game to play over Christmas but imo its just a worse version of Overcooked/Moving Out etc. Has some really bad input lag on the buttons too which makes it very non newbie friendly sadly

lol it’s wild how much I remembered this having a proper story, it’s genuinely just “kill Ares” and then a big (good) infodump at the end

Found this really annoying to play in 2022, I don’t think I understood the combat and just spammed the L1+Square spin move the whole time. The checkpoints are really bad at times and some of the puzzles are very annoying.

Still worth playing imo but I just remember it being so much better! Might be due to playing most of it on a Steam Deck while watching movies etc but I felt like at times I had no clue what the actual goal of each little area was. Really eager to try out 2 and 3 again to see what improvements they made.

Quite possibly the worst trophy list ever and the lack of some licensed songs you would expect was painful, but I had a really good time with this for the most part

Some of the puzzle solutions are mind bending (derogatory) but you can skip them so it's ok! Had to constantly use the hints function but it's a nice wee game. Nothing special sadly but it's nice.

Obviously like cash grab awful but it entertained my girlfriend for a bit and it had an easy platinum so everyone’s happy

I love MW2019 and would have happily accepted more of the same but this just didn’t do anything for me at all. Was literally just playing it it to finish it by the end.

Also the first game ends on a genuinely cool post credits type scene that got me hyped up, this one tries the same but fails imo. SPOILER is not the Thanos they think he is.

Apparently the multiplayer is alright so hey ho

Completed exceeded any expectations I had, incredible. I can't believe they made an Avengers Endgame moment in only two games. Everything after you blow the horn is immaculate.

That final shot of him looking at the shrine where he is the hero and loved by everyone. One of the best things I have ever seen in games, Christopher Judges performance/the animators went off in that scene, and then the score comes in!

I don't think this games looks insanely good to make it a shoe-in for best Art Direction (it still looks amazing ofc) but whoever animated that first Ratatoskr scene deserves the world.

I NEED a GDC talk about how they designed the collectibles for this game because they are insanely good, I had 43/48 Ravens by the end of the game! Mad.

Also Playstation All Stars is CANON!
