Great on the Steamdeck
Work in Progress - games my family, friends, and I have played and enjoyed on the Steamdeck. Some of them to completion, but others just far enough in to know they work (and we will come back to them).
Lots of games are Steam verified, but I don't find all of them work well for me on the small screen and controls - so I don't assume that just being verified is enough.
The deck has been great for enabling more gaming, without being locked away in my home office, plus it has given new life to my backlog as many games 5-10 years still old look great on the deck and play really well.
I have added Elden Ring as it plays really well on the deck, but encourage everyone to experience it on a big screen first - much of the verticality and superb visuals are lost on the deck. Same for God of War (2018)
Some of the games in the list are not fully verified, but still, play well and only need the popup keyboard for a little bit of keyboard entry. I am not a fan of FPShooters on the Steamdeck with the controls and the lower frame rates, hence why there are no mainstream shooters on the list - but that is just my preference with the deck.
Games that I did not enjoy on the (but are still great games):
Curse of the Golden Idol - drag & drop is just painful after a while
Shadow of Mordor - a lot of the text is pixelated and is unreadable
* Limbo - will not load
