Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!
Another really good entry into the "boomer shooter" style of FPS, and a specially good entry for Warhammer (40k, Fantasy will forever stay winning with Total Warhammer) fans.
Auroch Digital knocked it off the park first try with this one. Absolute joy to play from start to finish, blasting every single moving thing until it's impossible to remember what you murderified in that map with an arsenal that's mostly explosive shit. Fucking genuises.
It's also THE best game out there at capturing what I imagine playing as a Space Marine feels like, a massive pile of funny sounding metals bolted together running around stomping literally everything until the colors in their armor become impossible to remember due to the blood, blood, blood, blod...and bits of sick.
One thing I do think it misses is the map variety. Warhammer 40k (in the human worlds) is an universe of factories, churches and factochurches with some churchctories to spice up the desert you cross to reach them, but I still think it would've been cool to see towns or cities or maybe the inside of a spaceship.
In my opinion, one of the best action games released this year, and STRONG competition to the rest of the FPSers.
