Mecha Backlog

List for mecha/robot games I want to play. Ordered from high priority at the top to the bottom with lowest priority. Subject to change.
Included notes for any other mecha games currently in Steam Early Access, English Translation available, Currently in hiatus, no available English translation, and upcoming mech/robot games. This includes indie mechas. Link to English translation within notes. Only included 1 Super Robot War game here, since there are so many in the series and I feel this list would be filled with them. So only 1 for now. Constantly updating.

If/when I finish a game here I will move the completed game to my Mecha Ranked List. Fan translated mecha games I'll leave up for reference if people need it. Same with games currently not translated into English.

Removed so far:
Titanfall 2, Armored Core VI, Lancer Tactics(moved this to my Mecha Games Watchlist), Front Mission 2(didn't finish, waiting for devs to patch the english translation.

Added
Joy Mech Fight, Robot Warlords, Lord of elemental

Vixen 357
Vixen 357
Vixen 357 is an anime-style tactical role-playing game with mecha combat. The player controls mechas by moving them over the battle map, and fighting enemies with long-ranged or melee attacks. An animated battle sequence is shown when the mechas attack each other. It is possible to switch pilots in the mechas and repair them during battles. The pilots level up by gaining experience points, and the player gradually gains access to new robots and weapons during the game.

Gai Flame is a turn-based strategy game for the TurboGrafx-16. It was developed by Masaya and released by NCS in January 26, 1990. It is the final game in the Langrisser timeline, but the second in terms of time of release.

The gameplay is more similar to the original Elthlead, rather than the Crest of Gaia remake, because you have to move your troops on the overworld map, like in a war game, as well as on the battlefield. The old issue continues to persist: sometimes enemy units just don't feel like getting hit for a while, and you get destroyed. But at least in this game you can actually see if your attack has hit the enemy. You still don't see enemy health though. This game is significantly easier, however, and losing a battle does not guarantee a game over here.

Remote Control Dandy

In 1999, twelve-year-old Mamoru Oza, heir to the largest fortune in the world, received two gifts from his father. The first: A simple handheld remote controller…which operated the fifty-meter-tall combat robot “Vordan”. The second: Ownership of the newly-established Torino Defense Force Co., Ltd, a company formed to combat the “Enigmabots” – mysterious giant robots rampaging through the world’s major cities. Remote in hand, Mamoru now finds himself the sole hope of survival for the people of Torino City.

Can a boy, his robot, and a single remote solve the riddle of the Enigmabots and save the world…without going bankrupt first?

Remote Control Dandy is a 1999 mecha action game by Human Entertainment for the Sony PlayStation. In a major departure from most mecha games, it hearkens back to giant robot shows of the ’50s and ’60s such as Tetsujin 28-gou, in which the robots, rather than containing a human pilot, are controlled from afar via remote. The game adopts this as its core mechanic: not only does the player have to contend with remotely navigating their robot in the manner of an RC car, but also personally run after it to keep it in sight, all while not getting stepped on by enemy robots.

DS Mecha game

Chou Soujuu Mecha MG is a 2006 mecha action game developed by Sandlot and published by Nintendo.

In a world where giant robots known as Marionation Gear, or “Puppets”, are artisanally handcrafted in workshops, a certain boy serves as an apprentice at the Galouye Workshop, dreaming of becoming a “Puppeteer” (mecha pilot) and opening his own workshop with fellow apprentice Kay. But their peaceful daily life is shattered when the autonomous Puppets known as the Automen begin going on berserk rampages around the world. Together with new apprentice Anne-Marie, the hero and Kay are pulled into a conflict that could change the course of Puppet history…

Developed by Sandlot, the studio behind the Earth Defense Force series, Mecha MG combines the developer’s aptitude for larger-than-life spectacle with a unique and innovative use of the DS touch screen: in addition to standard movement with the D-Pad, each of the game’s 100+ playable mecha has its own unique “cockpit” controlled with the touch screen. Players can pull levers to swing their robot’s arms and hurl buildings at the enemy, flip a switch to transform into a car, punch in launch codes to fire missiles, and countless other imaginative setups.

I had no idea there were this many mecha games out there! I used to love this style of game, but I don't think I have played one since Mech Assault 2 on the Xbox. I may have to look into some of these further...

@Corrugated_Fox - I feel that. Before joining the site, I only knew a small amount of mecha games.

Hell yeah Mech Assault! My first mecha game was I think the first Mech Assault on the Xbox. I don't remember if I played the second...

Yesss, please do check them out. You may find one to revitalize your mecha interest! There's plenty to choose from: FPS, 3rd person shooter, turnbased, indies, roguelikes, RTS, shmups, Srpg, Jrpg, racing and more.

@Detectivefail - I'm glad that I stumbled upon these lists of yours as they have gotten me intrigued. I have been quite keen to try Chained Echoes and I see you ranked it quite highly in your Mecha Ranked list, so maybe I will give that one a try soon.
