It's basically an indie Donkey Kong Country game, and it works perfectly! It takes everything I love about the old DKC games (minus the tag team feature, as you only control Kaze, here) and throws it all together for one super addictive, challenging platform, that manages to avoid being frustrating, for the most part.
Level designs borrow a lot from DKC, but I find it's all pulled off wonderfully, while the bonus rounds are often tough, but super fun and well designed. I also find the difficulty pacing just right, where it starts off easy, teases you with some challenging sections hre and there early on, before gradually building up, and then the final world is a mix between pure madness, and a few breather levels here and there where it's still tough, but they definitely give you a break from how rough the hardest levels can be, which is nice. The final boss fight is also spectacular, and really feels like the ultimate test of everything you've learned throughout the game.
Overall, a super fun game, which does everything I wanted it to, and more!
