Soundtrack goes way harder than it ever needed to, but I love it for that.

Its fucking Halo 2 man, need I say more?

Reach, is also another game that is kinda tricky for me to rate. I have so many good memories of Reach, and I think it wasn't too far from being one of the greatest Halo's, objectively.
Halo: Reach, bang-for-buck, as a package, surpasses even Halo 3. Social features, Forge, and player Customization were all massively expanded.
Unfortunately the gameplay is severely inconsistent with accuracy bloom oppressively hindering the weapon sandbox, and Armor Abilities nullifying the design of many maps and the concept of equal starts.

Biggest love/hate relationship I have with a game.

In my opinion, this is the best modern Halo experience. (Mostly bc we can't go back to the 2000's to relive the golden years of the original trilogy. But still, pretty awesome.)
Bang-for-buck this is kind of a steal. 5 incredible fps games, plus Halo 4.
Many aspects that made these games as amazing as they were are not exactly present in the MCC. Or at least not present in the same way as the original game, but what MCC does excel at is maintaining the gameplay and somewhat expanding the experience of the whole franchise. Being able to play

If you liked the movie, you'll love this game. It has some excellent written comedy, but it is the same kind of humor as the MCU Guardians, so keep that in mind.

My favorite source of depression.

To me, the Halo experience peaked here.
I think there's a debate to say Halo 2 might have a better arena experience / gameplay. But as a package, bang for buck, Halo 3 is where its at.
One of the best gameplay in the series (if not the best), the Campaign is insanely epic. In storytelling it falls short to H2, but in level design, AI, enemy encounters, and set pieces it blows out of the park.
But what really elevates this game above H2 (imo) is the social experience. Custom Games, Forge, the File Share, Theater, Bungie.net, Clans, Machinimas. Everyone was playing or talking about Halo 3.
The community and social experience in H3 was unmatched.

To me, this is what peak narrative-focused RPG gaming looks like.

For me, this game feels like an entry in the franchise that has no respect whatsoever for what the original trilogy was all about.
Many gameplay decisions go in total contradiction to the core of Halo's arena design. Sure, I can play it for 2-3 matches and have fun, but after that it gets very stale.
What many will praise is the campaign, and I also have many complaints about it. I do love the premise of the story, specially the plot-line of Cortana's rampancy. The gameplay, level design, and enemy encounters of the campaign however, just bring it down so much. The entire campaign feels like I'm waiting for a level with those epic Halo battles I love, and it just never came.

Insanely underrated Spider-Man game. Not saying its an undiscovered masterpiece or smth, but there are many things this game did that no other Spider-Man game has attempted, and it did it well.
The combat mechanics do feel outdated, but still hold up in their own way.
The web-swinging is good, it requires time and practice to learn, but not nearly as punishing as PS2 Spider-Man 2.
The story is...inconsistent. Many cool premises, and some unforgettable money shots. But also a lot of poorly executed segments. Very up-and-down kinda experience.
If you're more of a gameplay-motivated player, give it a chance. If you're story-motivated, it might be a bit of a gamble.

Rating Halo Wars is a bit conflicting for me. I think its pretty lackluster as an RTS game, missing many mechanics and features that are standard for the genre. However, this absolutely FEELS like a Halo game, they absolutely nailed the atmosphere and uniqueness of the franchise. If you like the Halo universe, and you just wanna experience it from another perspective, you will enjoy this one.
If you want a solid and competent RTS game, maybe just play the campaign and look elsewhere.

Just go back to play MCC at this point...

Not a bad entry for the Sly series, many interesting levels and story beats, and what I consider a pretty satisfying conclusion to the trilogy; But ultimately its just not as good as its predecessors. I personally think it was also filled with too many gimmicks of the time: 3D, multiplayer, online services. None of which really added smth substantial to the game.
