I guess I was optimistically hoping for some sort of open-world adventure platformer out of this one but that's not what Happy Feet has to offer. This movie tie-in title is essentially comprised of three gameplay variants that repeat over and over and make up the entire experience.

You'll be sliding down slopes at high speeds, swimming through rings or away from predators, and participating in a very easy rhythm minigame to represent the tap dancing of the story. None of it really gave me any challenge and hardly changes throughout the several hours that make up the campaign. I got somewhere around 60% through the title before I lost interest. The production value isn't too bad here with some decent licensed tracks for the tap dancing parts and the voice acting cast from the movie reprising their roles. I just expected something more substantial on the gameplay front.
