Genuinely fantastic. This was the sole reason why I wanted to get a PlayStation console. Prior to this, I had only had Xbox and Nintendo consoles. I just didn't feel the need to have the trifecta. After 100%ing this game though, I am more than happy that I made the decision to get a PS5.

I love nearly every aspect of this game. It is such a well-crafted experience that I can confidently recommend it to anyone who has played a video game from the past ten years. It's really hard for me to name everything I love, so I'll just name some of my most favored parts.

Otto Octavius. Literally everything about him. The moment he's on screen, I'm completely enthralled. He encompasses Peter's struggle to manage his two lives perfectly. He is the embodiment of everything relating to Peter's story.

The graphics are also incredible, but it's hard to explain how good the graphics are in a video game. All you have to say is, "Hey, that looks like real life" and it gets the point across.

The acting as a whole is also top-notch. Everyone is clearly giving it their all. Otto, Martin Li, May, and especially Peter are given so much soul, and I feel truly completes the game. If the game just had tolerable voice acting, a lot of the game would kind of fall apart. You can't have Otto Octavius without a good voice actor.

The gameplay is really satisfying all around. The swinging pretty much gives you no reason to use the fast travel unless you're 3,000m away. The fighting is really fun, and I didn't realize it until my New Game+ playthrough, but the gadgets are actually really fun to use. For some reason, I only used the web shooters and no other gadgets on my first playthrough.

I only have a few complaints, but they're pretty minute. The DLC's just fine. It's not terrible, but it wasn't worth me replaying on my New Game+ playthrough. I would say that is where most of my problems lie in this game. The Screwball thing had one gadget challenge that almost made me lose my fucking mind. Same thing with the "Perform a 95-Hit Combo" challenge at the Hammerhead base. Sincerely, fuck those enemies that drag me down while I'm at an 87-hit combo. Those guys and the Sable fuckers with the jetpacks. When you have 8 of those fuckers flying at you, that shit blows dick. The difficulty is also a little too easy, regarding the base game. Doc Ock didn't stand a fucking chance, even on Ultimate difficulty. I couldn't care less about the earlier MJ missions. After a bit, the devs realized, "Oh, yeah! Maybe our player should want to play our game!" I also wish there was more of the Sinister Six, but they'll definitely return in future games, so I'm not too worried.

I have never played a game like this before. I've only recently been playing games with grander scopes than a jolly plumber and online multiplayer games can provide, and I couldn't be happier that this was one of the first that I marked off my list. This game is truly something special, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of this series holds.

This game is kind of like a time capsule of Nickelodeon's attempts to make their own flash games. I used to play this quite a bit when I was younger. It saw as just like Mario Kart, but now I could play it on the school computers. It was the perfect supplement.

Yesterday, I was adding games to my account on here when I began to notice some of Nickelodeon's flash games weren't represented. So, you wanna know what I did? I decided to add it myself. Justice was served at 3:37 AM. I am making this world a better place. After I put in my hard work, I decided to give the game a whirl. I just have to know how this game holds up. Spoiler Alert: It doesn't.

So, when I load into the game, I am met with two options. "Single Race" and "Tournament." "Single Race" is what I went for first, so now I'm left with the hardest choice of all. Which character do I pick? The characters in this game are pretty normal. All of the characters work as a duo in this game. I would say it's like Mario Kart: Double Dash, but it's not. The second person in your car doesn't do anything. The characters are SpongeBob & Patrick, Carly & Spencer, Aang & Momo, and for no fucking reason Bucket & Skinner. Even as someone who grew up with this era of Nickelodeon, I had no goddamn clue who these tubular surfer dudes were. But to make up for this, there was a secret unlockable character! Oh, boy! To unlock this secret racer, you had to get first place in the Bikini Bottom and Central Park Zoo tracks. So, I picked SpongeBob and Patrick, and I was ready to race!

I load into Bikini Bottom, and I go ahead and take off. In these races, everybody tends to be very close to one another throughout the race, so shit's constantly hitting the fan. Around the second lap, a fucking pile-on collision takes place into a random rock, and my entire car flips over, and I become completely unable to move. Later, I would eventually figure out that you can respawn, but at the moment, I thought I was soft-locked, so I restarted the whole race. During this race is when I found out that you don't have to stay on the track. There is 0 punishment if you drive off the track and take shortcuts. You don't slow down at all, and the AI exclusively stays on the track, so with these cuts, you can get miles ahead of the group. Now, they should easily be able to hit me with some items, though. That's where things get a little weird. Once the rocket item (Basically a Red Shell) travels so far, it just blows up for no fucking reason. So, once you get so far, you become completely unable to be affected by any items. After I also completed the Central Park Zoo track, I unlocked the secret character! This Is when I found out that the secret character is just SpongeBob & Patrick in the Patty Wagon, a complete waste of my time.

The next race I decided to do, I was going to test out the Patty Wagon, and it controls like shit, so after I finished that race on the iCarly track, I went back to the original SpongeBob & Patrick. I should also mention that the last track in this game wasn't given to Avatar: The Last Airbender. It was given to the fucking surfer dudes from a show that lasted one season and didn't even last a full year without cancelation. All of the tracks in this game are just kind of "OK" anyway. When I was younger, I exclusively played the SpongeBob and iCarly tracks. Now that I've played the other tracks, I've learned that I wasn't really missing out on that much. Now, after I finished the surfer dude track, I was ready to be done with this game, but no. I had forgotten about the tournament mode... This was the last thing I needed to do for me to proudly say, "I FINISHED Nick Racers Revolution 3D." So, yeah. I played the tournament mode, and it's literally just all of the tracks back-to-back, except they excluded iCarly for some reason.

Now, I'm done. I'm free from the Nick Racers Revolution 3D shackles. I guess it's fine for something to do while your bitch of a computer teacher nags on and on, but as something to actually play? Yeah, no thanks. I can do without this game. I don't need more unnecessary beach boy inclusions in my life.

Ok, so this game was my SHIT back in 2014. I was really into Skylanders as a whole actually, specifically Skylanders Giants. I actually never played Swap Force because I played Giants through the entire life-cycle of Giants and Swap Force. I didn't have a million Skylanders like others had, but I cherished the ones that I had. I really liked the whole toys-to-life gimmick for that matter. I liked the idea of having toys that also acted as gateways into these worlds, and this game took this concept to its peak for me. The new gimmick with this game was my favorite. Instead of bringing something from the real world into the game, now you take something from the game into the real world. Now, kid-me was losing his shit at this. "HOLY SHIT! KAOS IN MY HOUSE???? THIS GAME IS CRAZY!!!" I LOVED this game as a kid, to put it lightly. I've soaked so much time into this game. It's a little embarrassing, to be honest. Recently, I've been playing games that I really liked as a kid to see how they would hold up now, and this was a game that I couldn't skip.

When playing this game now, I had a sudden realization. I had an epiphany. Maybe, this game isn't good as I thought it was. Shocker, right? Yeah, it's no secret that the Skylanders series is commonly regarded as being just ok, and this game isn't a miraculous exemption. But I didn't just play this game in the normal way. No, no, no. I decided I was going to play this game with my sister to change up the experience. Not only that, but I decided to play the game on Nightmare difficulty for my first time ever because I had played this game so many times that I know every nook and cranny, so I needed a challenge. This newfound difficulty would become a factor throughout my playthrough.

When starting this playthrough, I knew what I was getting into. The same story, characters, blah blah blah. I knew the gist by now. For me, this game wasn't really thought of as being great because of these aspects. I just liked the villains talking to me through the traps. Playing this game now, after basically being numbed to the whole gimmick, was a major reality check. Yeah, the game is just kind of ok. The game really has some major elements that I think help it a lot; Specifically, Nightmare difficulty. If I ever play this game again, this mode is the only mode I will ever play this game on. The boss fights, usually, don't really feel like they have much impact. Now, there are actual stakes since the bosses actually provide a pretty decent challenge. Nothing makes this more clear than the final fight: Kaos.

I've only heard about how difficult Kaos is on Nightmare difficulty. I've never played the fight on that difficulty. I think his entire level is really good, but his fight is easily my favorite of the franchise. It was incredibly fun, but it was never really difficult. But, oh my god, when I tell you that this fight is hard, I don't just mean "hard." I mean it kicks you in the nuts and leaves you there to cry to yourself. I'm not going to act like this is the hardest fight in video game history, but it's still a pretty hard fight. There is so much stupid bullshit happening all at once. You have 0 chance to breathe. You always have to jump over some shit. Kaos has no fucking chill on this boss fight. Without Broccoli Guy constantly healing my team, me and my sister would've never beaten the bald-headed punk. My sister, for the matter, lost every Skylander around the midway point of the fight, so I had to do the entire fight with just Wallop and all of my trapped villains. Thank GOD that Wolfgang has that ranged attack because I don't know what I'd do without that move. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed the fight, but my god. That shit was tough. That is probably Trap Team's biggest upside, but there are some major duds.

Trap Team just loves having the most boring, mind-numbing levels I have ever played. For every Kaos fight, there are 8-fucking shooter levels. The game would've been infinitely better if it was just a boss rush of all of the Doom Raiders + Kaos. If that were the case, the game probably be a 4 1/2 out of 5. The Doom Raider fights are pretty fun and challenging, but since there are only so many of those, there non-Doom Raider fights are just kinda there. I mean, I do like the designs of the non-Doom Raiders like Hood Sickle and Blaster-Tron, but their fights are kind of bland when you sandwich them in between actual Doom Raider fights. This also goes for every level after Kaos's. Those levels are BORING. I am ASLEEP during those levels. Those levels SUCK. Midnight Museum is the worst level in the game, and I will hear absolutely no one out.

Overall, the game's cool and has some highs but some actually atrocious lows. I think if the game was more focused on the fights, the game could've been pretty darn cool, but as of now? Eh, it's fine. A little above average, but I'm not losing my shit over it like I used to. Oh, and I didn't feel like mentioning the story, characters, and plot of the game because no one gives a fuck about the Skylanders: Trap Team plot.
