Favorite version of Tetris. Modern Tetris, highly portable, fun theming. Yes, please.

Wow it's crazy how Popcap never made another good game again after this one
Excellent remake of Katamari Damacy. Easily recommend playing it over the original.

While not my favorite BTD game, this is undeniably the game that changed the series and brought it to its modern form.
2013
This is for sure the best idle game ever made. Orteil put way too much effort into it.

It's really a shame this didn't come out on the SNES as intended. This game rules and might have completely changed the trajectory of the Star Fox franchise.

Weird to consider this a "hidden gem" on the NES, since it gets ported wherever NES games are available, but it's true. This is a usually overlooked NES title that did a good job blending RPG and Beat'em Up elements into a single experience. If you're the kind of person who plays NES games, this is one you can't miss.

It was a fun third-person shooter. The idea of making your own guns and bringing them into a free for all multiplayer match is a great concept. It's a shame it both didn't catch on, and died to bad monetization.

This is not a game, this is a companion app to Diamond and Pearl. Would have been nice to get the Japan-only Platinum update, Nintendo!
It's not really a game, per se, more of a gamified learning tool before that idea was popularized.

I mean, it's a really neat concept for a Warioware game. As a young kid interested in game development, I really liked it. The microgames made for it are pretty good, too.
2009
It's a gimmicky 2D fighter with nothing going for it.
2014
When I played Elite: Dangerous, it was a neat little space sim with not a whole lot of variety at the beginning. I also never got to parts of the game that let you be much more than a space trucker. It was a fine way to kill some hours, but not much more than that.

This isn't a game. This is a tech demo for the Steam Deck. But it is a cool tech demo.

This is one of the coolest ideas for a puzzle game ever, man. A heisting game where you have to devise the shortest possible path to achieve your object by punching holes in the environment wherever you want is just so fucking cool. And I could lose hours just destroying things in the sandbox mode. Give this game a play, it rules.
