As a long-time fan of Spider-Man, I was excited to dive into this game, and I wasn't disappointed. The swinging mechanics are fantastic, and the ability to traverse the city quickly and fluidly is a real highlight. However, I do agree with some criticisms that the open-world can become overwhelming, with repetitive side missions and collectibles that start to feel like a chore.

Despite these criticisms, the game's story is one of the best I've played in a superhero game. The writing, voice acting, and characters are all top-notch, and the story kept me engaged and invested throughout. I did find myself wishing for more Peter Parker content, however, as those sections of the game were few and far between.
The combat mechanics are a bit of a mixed bag for me. While I appreciate the variety of moves, gadgets, and suit powers available, I do agree with some criticisms that the combat can become repetitive after a while. However, the variety of options available kept me engaged and experimenting throughout.

Visually, the game is stunning. The character models are detailed and expressive, and the city itself is a marvel to behold. However, I did notice some occasional glitches and slowdowns that detracted from the overall experience.

Overall, while there are some flaws and criticisms of Marvel's Spider-Man, I think it's a must-play for fans of the character and for anyone looking for an engaging and enjoyable superhero game. The swinging mechanics alone are worth the price of admission, and the story and combat are also highlights of the game.
