Certainly the best of the "Dark Pictures" entries so far, but that isn't a very high bar to clear. There were a few interesting choices throughout the game, I enjoyed the antagonists in this one way more than the past games and thought it did a decent job of handling the overall setting of the game.

At the time of release, I think this game did a fantastic job of breaking up the standard shooter formula, where FPS's were in charge. It was the first time I had played a 3rd person shooter that felt fun and encouraged fast paced gameplay. I don't know how well the original would hold up today, but for the time it was an awesome experience.
2022
A fun experience that ended up overstaying its welcome a bit too long. I enjoyed the loop of fishing and working the sushi shop, but the story and gameplay loop fell a bit flat once I got further into the game. I have to commend the sheer amount of creativity and content on offer, this game has a lot of heart and the devs put a lot of love into this one and it shows.
2023
A game that desperately tries to be Enter the Gungeon or The Binding of Issac, but can't ever quite reach the heights those games set. Not a terrible experience but slighty buggy, became extremely repetitive very quickly, and the whole take care of baby Axolotls at the farm became a huge chore that I never had fun with.

Very solid 2D Mario Experience. I had not played one in a very long time but brought back a lot of happy memories from Super Mario World and the others of that time. The wonder mechanics were fantastic, the badge system was neat, and I thought there was a good balance of relaxing levels mixed in with some of the more difficult ones.

Felt like this one started strong but had a very weak ending. I understand they were slightly handcuffed by the show/books and could only do so much, but rather than try to tell a story that involved so many mainline characters who we knew were safe/died at a later time, why not pick something more interesting, or tell a side story. I'm not a dev and have no idea the amount of time/effort goes into a collaboration like this so I can't really talk, but it just felt like they couldn't back themselves out of the corners they painted in the earlier episodes to create a satisfying conclusion.

I wanted to like this game a lot more than I did. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shot, but after 6-8 hours, I felt slightly overwhelmed by the amount of options while DJ'ing and wasn't exactly sure what to do to increase my score. Some levels I would "play" perfectly, and get 3* while others I felt less confident about and would score higher. Doesn't help that they delisted this game so that leaves a sour taste in my mouth as well.
