Everything besides some of the story on Ichiban’s end felt like an improved version of LAD/Yakuza 7. This is a game that is absolutely at its best if you’ve played all the other Yakuza games.
One of the better Persona spin-offs overall. Gameplay is fun if you enjoy SRPG’s, music is good and has some fun character moments. Story is fine but I would’ve immensely preferred Akechi and Sumire/Kasumi in the main story post royal, but the new characters are better than some of the other persona spin off cast seen prior.
For what may be the last action Kiryu focused game I wish we could've used his classic Dragon style from 1-5, but the gameplay is still a big improvement from 6 and K2
