Feels dated by now, but still a great game.

Still one of the best entrys in the Sonic Franchise.

Unpolished, rushed and could use better controls?
Sure.
The most fun I've had in a good while with a Switch Game?
Yeah.

The combat system is great, that alone would award this game five stars.
Shame it comes packed with FOMO ingame store on an alredy 40ish dollar game with a battle pass. That wouldn't be a problem but any new content goes directly to the cash store, that makes the current ingame activity rewards dull, as they award only generic currency, mounts and cool things are strictly reserved to the ingame cash store. While the combat is awesome it does get old fast as there are no new Temtems or significant meta shakeups.

It's no Resident Evil 2, but I think this game got the perfect funny/absurd/campy vibe that the franchise needed, it doesn't take itself seriously and that works well for me. Not the horror/mysterious atmosphere RE2 had but it works well as an action piece. It is shorter too, we had cut content from the original, but it has a nice flow to it if you are trying to speedrun, you can beat it under 2 hours easly.

Perfect atmosphere and just the right length for a Resident Evil game, it doesn't overstay it's welcome, the only bad choice this game had was to make zombies literal bullet sponges, putting zombies down gets tiring really fast.

Good looking but extremely dull/clunky gameplay and controls.
