Well, with the servers shutting down today, I can say that yes, I completed Splatoon 1.
The vibes of this game, the music, the characters, the maps, the weapons, the idols, the splatfests, the funny winning dances, the miiverse posts (when it was still active)... Man, this game brought me so many memories over the years I've played it, which in my case was a pretty long time since I only got a Switch in 2020.
But man... I'm gonna miss it. Sure, S2 and 3 are still here with basically the same thing and even more songs and maps and yadda yadda, but-
It's not the same now is it?
Farewell Splatoon 1.

Professor Fizzwizzle is part of those early 2000s PC games like PopCap games that were not made for a big adventure or what but to spend a good time solving puzzles, having the best highscore, and finishing the game under 10 hours. Honestly? I like that.
This game was made by a small team whose lead developper went on to found Brace Yourself Games and create Crypt of the Necrodancer. For what this game is, they sure did well as a first game!
It's wacky, it's aimed for kids, it doesn't have a big story plot, but it will make your brain work harder than you think to finish those levels. With more than 130 levels in total, you will have enough to tell yourself "holy sh*t this is a nightmare", look up the solution, and feel like an idiot.
Also the professor has moves.
Maybe I'm too nostalgic over this game I played as a kid to treat it fairly, but I like this game.

I've graduated from the Peggle Institute, I am a real peggler now
Serious talk tho, this game is one of the classic old PC games where Popcap and MumboJumbo put out a ton of arcade games like this.
This game has a great unique touch to it, from the Master in each level, the cheap BGM and the one classical music when you finish a game, and it is fun to finish it
Some levels are unfairly based on RNG tho, the placement of the orange bricks you need to touch to win a level is sometimes working against you in the worst of situations.
